An eventful weekend

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was pretty eventful. On Saturday, I went shopping with my family at the outlet. Below are 3 dresses I tried on at BR store. I ended up didn't getting any of those dresses.

What I like: All 3 dresses fit me quite well (all in 00P). Each has their own uniqueness. I went shopping this time purposely looking for more colorful clothes. My closet consists of 80% of grey/black/white color. I need to add more color to my closet. These are great choices for summer dresses!

What I don't like: None of these dresses are on sale. Range from $79.00 to $99.00. I have no plan to spend that much $$ on a summer dress when I know I probably wear them no more than a dozen times. I'll wait until they go on sale (probably in the next few weeks).

Lookbook: Spring/Summer Silk Dress

Fall is less than a month away so I thought I would wear my summer dresses more often before I had to put them away. Floral prints is always a big trend during spring and summer. I am not a floral-print kind of girl. Whenever I go shopping, I tend to pick out solid/simple patterns vs. floral or complicated prints. While out shopping a few months ago, I found this little cute dress at Bebe and thought it would be perfect for spring/summer. One thing that attracted me to this dress is the interesting design and its artsy look. I couldn't believe I actually liked the floral print dress . Click here to read more

I love to shop at the end of the season for the next year. I guess that’s part of being a Mom. Clothes only last my little girl for 6 months. I stock up on jeans, tops, shorts in bigger sizes for the following year. I find many great deals at the end of each season. While out shopping last week, I not only found tons of stuff for her, I also scored some fabulous finds for myself. The best part is I do not have to wait until next year to wear these. ASOS Linen Tulip Dress in UK6

I have been on the hunt for a white linen dress since the beginning of summer. When I first saw this dress online, I thought it would be perfect. If you keep up with my blog, you'll know this is the last dress from my recent ASOS order. See my previous dresses here and here

ASOS Work Linen Tulip Dress in UK6 (sold herethis size is still available online)

This is a perfect summer dress for work. The fabric contains 55% linen, therefore it is breathable but very lightweight  (absolutely perfect for this climate). The fit is great. It fits me pretty well on top. Unfortunately, I am not in love with the tulip skirt. It pleated at the waist and balloon out at the hips. I feel like there is extra fabric and/or so much room around my hips. I wish this dress has a traditional pencil skirt instead of tulip skirt.

Lookbook: ASOS Pleated Shift Dress in UK6

First of all, if you haven't noticed, I recently put Google Translator on my blog. I think it's a coolest feature ever. I put it there so that international readers can easily translate this blog to their languages (all you have to do is click on the drop-down list and select your language). This feature is dedicated to some of my friends who still live back home. With this neat tool, they can easier translate this blog to Vietnamese and fully understand my passion for fashion

Today, I am reviewing my second dress from my ASOS order. Like I said in my previous post, I am very happy with this purchase. Their styles are interesting and different. The prices are so affordable. Even though I didn't get either free shipping or free return but I ain't complaint! The second dress from my order is ASOS Pleated Shift Dress in UK6. Happy Anniversary, blog!

Just a quick post today to say Happy Anniversary to my little blog. I have joined blogger on 05.12.2010 and today marks 3 months....

I just want to thank each and every one of you for following my blog and leaving me comments. I have met amazing ladies on here. You guys are my inspirations. My first 3-month of blogging has been amazing. Blogging is not only provides great opportunities for me to interact with a wider set of people who shares the same interest, but also improving my writing skills and reading habits.

This is typical me in the morning, sitting at my reading corner and catching up with bloggers

When I first started blogging, hubby afraid blogging will influence my purchase decisions. Another word, he afraid I am going to purchase every single thing you ladies have mentioned on your blogs. That's not completely true! I have to admit that I am pretty good at control myself from shopping habits. One major advantage of blogging for me is that I feel like I am much more educated when it comes to shopping. I wear more fitted clothes since I discovered more petite-friendly brands that I haven't known before. I am more particular about what I should buy and what I shouldn't buy. On top of that, I save money on my purchases by checking out the best bargains and deals from other blogs.

From time to time, I have to remind myself to be true to my interests and passions. All in all, blogging isn't a job. It's a place to relax, have fun, sharing the experiences and make new friends. Blogging is so much fun if used correctly!

xoxo,

My brother and sister-in-law just came home from SoCal for their one-week vacation. I am so jealous! They had a great times visiting Disney and nearby beaches. Of course the food was awesome too. They brought home for me some goodies. That was so sweet of them!  First item they brought back for me was this dress. Click here to read more..

Lookbook: ASOS Lace bodycon dress in UK6

Remember my first experience with ASOS few months ago? Even though I wasn’t extremely happy with it but I wasn’t disappointed either, considering I know nothing about UK sizing. Like every other retailers, ASOS is having a huge summer sale (still going on now) so I decided to give it another shot. Call me a risk taker if you’d like because I ordered 3 dresses, ALL in UK6 despite the fact that they don’t offer either free shipping or free return. You have to agree with me that their styles are so unique and different. I got bored from time to time shopping at BR, Express and other US retailers. I also do not have the luxury of buying designer labels all the times. ASOS is very affordable and for someone who likes to try new things from time to time like me, it’s perfect! As you probably know, ASOS is having free shipping both ways (no minimum spend required - offer ends August 31). For those of you who would like to try ASOS, here is your chance! In this post, I am wearing my favorite out of 3 dresses. Click here to read more..

What I am wearing:
Dress: ASOS lace bodycon in UK6 (sold here)
Pearl necklace: Macy's (sold here - wear as bracelet)
Shoes: I don't remember where I got them from (similar here)
Dangling earrings: Express (similar here)

Review: Allison Izu - Denim for petites (Panio Bootcut)

Today, I am reviewing the Paniolo bootcut denim from Allison Izu collection. I love how she named her denim in Hawaiian. According to the site, Paniolo means “cowboy”. I personally prefer bootcut denim over a pair of skinnies.
