Closet remix: 01.27.2011

This is by far my most favorite outfit to wear. Ever since I bought the H&M blouse that I worn in this post. I’ve been obsessed with blouses. I was super excited to find another lovely one from Love 21. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for - the Love 21 Silk Georgette Blouse.

What I love about this blouse:
- This blouse is very pretty in person and feminine looking.
- A purchase that fits the bill.
- 100% silk.
- The fit is perfect. Love 21 items typically run larger than F21 items. An XS fits me perfectly! What else could I ask for? I absolutely love it. My only complaint is that I wish it comes in several different colors. Continue reading...

Giveaway winner and my blog sale

The winner of Petite Leg’s giveaway is Jarucha . Please contact me to claim your gift certificate. A big thank to everyone who entered and Petite Legs for sponsoring this giveaway.

I spent a huge amount of time this week to cleaning out my closet. In order to make room for the new Spring items, I posted tons of items on my blog sale. Most of the items are unworn, too big, too small. Some of which I love but really don’t know how to incorporate them into an outfit. If you’re interested, please click here to shop. You can also navigate by category such as fashion, beauty and jewelry.

To purchase: Pls send the total amount (cost of the item plus shipping) to using PayPal service. I can send an invoice to you if you don’t have a PayPal account.

I am sorry that I use stock photos for most of my items. I didn’t have enough time to take outfit pictures. If you’d like to see me model a particular item, please let me know. I can quickly take some iPhone pics and send them to you. I quickly took some photos for blog sale items this morning.

For those of you who purchased from me yesterday, your item(s) was sent out this morning. Thank you so much for looking and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Review: BR petite tattersall ruffle shirt (runs tiny)

I’ve always been a fan of flare jeans. Although, I’ve worn my skinny jeans most of the time during winter, it’s fun to bring the flare ones out once in a while. I am glad that flare jeans are coming back in style. I am almost 5'3", it’s hard for me to find a pair of skinny jeans that fit properly. If they fit my waist, they are usually too short. In my opinion, for skinny jeans, the length has to hit at a perfect length. With flare jeans, you can somewhat get away with it.

I felt good wearing this outfit. This button-down shirt is my new love. If you’re petite, you know how hard it is to find a fitted button-down shirt. While online shopping the other day, I stumbled upon this shirt at Banana Republic. I read the online reviews for it and every single one of them said this shirt runs small, tight, sleeves are being too tight…That is a good sign for petite ladies. True to their words, it runs tiny. I stopped by BR the very next day and was happy to see it there. I am wearing an XSP (I typically wear BR tops in an XXSP) and I couldn’t have asked for a better fit. Continue reading...

It's all about shoes

I've been on a shoe kick lately. Besides my Colehaan Petra Riding Boot and the Ann Taylor Perfect Leather Pump, I purchased another 3 pairs of shoes. I worked in the shoe department at JCP throughout college. Thus, I developed a love for shoes since then. I remember the day I left that job for my real job, I owned 40 pairs of shoes. They weren’t anything fancy but my goodness, I couldn’t find a place to store all my shoes back then. I’ve been donating them from time to time. My love for shoes is also fading away. Once in a while, I still can’t resist buying shoes. Below are my latest shoe purchases:

1. Coach Pixy Poppy Heart Rain Boots: I don’t own any pair of rain boots prior to this pair. I was looking into the Hunter rain boots and the Dav city rain boots but haven’t settled on anything. When I saw these colorful rain boots at DSW, I couldn’t resist. The rubber outsoles are soft and very comfortable to wear. I am not a big fan of Coach in general but I love these. They are very cheerful to wear on a rainy day. Continue reading...

Closet Remix: 01.17.2011

The weather is getting better in Ohio. Although, it is still freezing outside, the sun does come out and play. Today’s outfit consists of my absolute favorite pieces. This H&M camel skirt has become my work staple. My Mom hemmed it for me not too long ago. She took up about an inch. I think it looks so much better than the unaltered version. The J.Crew silk blouse was a recent purchase from the outlet. I got it last month despite the fact that it is way too big on me. The reason I bought it because I love the mixed prints so much. I was hoping that my Mom will be able to alter it somehow. She said it would be hard because of its side zipper. The looseness is not noticeable when tucked in. Of course I can’t get enough of my petite V-neck boyfriend cardigan. I took these pictures during my lunch break at work. Hence, minimal makeup and a dull face (Eekkkk!). Continue reading...

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am not a girl who usually gets excited about V-Day. Personally, I think it is way more important to cherish and appreciate the ones you love everyday than any gifts that you can find on V-day. My husband and I do little things for each other each year. I am not too upset if we don't do anything at all. Instead of pulling our hairs trying to decide what to get for each other, we decided to take little one on a ski trip for the first time as our V-Day gift. Although, there were a few tears dropped on the slopes, she enjoyed the trip so much. She got up after falling and determined to try it again. That's my girl! At the end of the day, she went down the hill without any problems.

{My little girl is in action}

I don't expect anything today at all. To my surprise, hubby came home with flowers, chocolate and a shopping bag from Ann Taylor. What else could I ask for? I am not a big of fan of roses. I don't know why. Tulips are my favorite flower. Last month, we went shopping and I felt in love with the Petite Silk Silent Clusters Sheath Dress. Although, it is really pretty and perfect for the upcoming Spring, the price tag wasn't very appealing to me. It is way more than what I am willing to pay for a dress. I totally forgot about it until he brought it home tonight.

He bought a size 0 regular and of course it is way too big on me. We just reordered the dress in 00P and hopefully, it'll arrive on time for our date night this Saturday. Don't forget to use the code "10000000121" for additional 30% off. Ann Taylor is also running a free shipping promotion on everything (ends tonight). I told him even though I love everything but it was unnecessary to spend $$ on V-day for me. His response was "This isn't for V-day, this is just a way to say thank you for everything". My heart melted.

Happy Valentine's Day <3

Saturday shopping recap

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. My girlfriend called this morning and asked me if I’d like to go to the outlet mall with her today. She should have known that I never say no to shopping LOL :) I wasn’t super excited since I was just there last week. Although I think it would be fun to catch up with her on the way to the outlet and hopefully to score some great deals. Continue reading...
