Bold colored shorts

I hope you all had a great long weekend. My Memorial Day weekend filled with family fun and relaxation. It was pretty uneventful. Temperatures are jumping up to the low-90s this weekend. It's my favorite time of the year as I get to bust out my sundresses and short shorts. I've always been scared to wear bold colors other than white, black, and every shade of grey. I thought it was time to add something colorful to my wardrobe. I picked up this F21 linen blend short a few weeks ago from F21. I love the pop of bright color. It is so fun and cheerful - perfect for those hot summer days!

My interview with Northwest Asian Weekly

A while ago, Triston of The Girlie Blog has contacted me (and some of my favorite petite bloggers) for an interview with Northwest Asian Weekly. The interview was about how petite Asian bloggers help other petite women with their fashion problems. The article is finally published. Click here to read the full article. A huge thank to Trishton and Northwest Asian Weekly for giving me a chance to share my experiences.

Have a great holiday weekend, everyone!

Vacation Recap (Part III): Eat & Play

There is no doubt that the amount of food on cruise ships is ridiculous and generally available 24/7. You can eat as much as you want, as often as you want, as many times as you want while you’re on a cruise. I am not a breakfast person but I had breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between while on a cruise. I am surprised that I didn’t gain weight despite the fact of how much food I have consumed that week. The food was great but it wasn’t anything to die for. A couple of nights, we decided to pay $14.95 to “upgrade” our meals.

Vacation Recap (Part II): What I wore...

Do you have a habit of buying new clothes for your vacation? For me, it really depends. If I go somewhere like Vegas or Europe where I know I will be spending a lot of time sightseeing, dining and enjoying the city, I would buy some new clothes. If I go to a beach vacation, I usually just pack my old clothes. The reason because I know we’re going to be spend a lot of time on the beach, I tend to pack clothing items that are easy to maintain, easy to dry and can be worn in and out of the water. We only brought the DSLR camera with us and I didn’t want sand to get in my camera. Therefore, I don’t have a whole lot to share with you guys. Here are a few outfits that I’ve wore last week:

Outfit Details:
Maxi dress: NY & Co - size small *hemmed* (buy similar here)
Sunglasses : Gucci 1798 NS (buy similar here)

Vacation Recap (Part I): Where I visited...

I am slowly getting back into my usual routine and catching up with things. I am glad that we were able to take some time off and relax for a week. My vacation was filled with 7 days of indulgence. The original plan was to visit Puerto Rico. Well, something came up at the very last minute so we had to change our plan. We settled for a Bahamas cruise which was perfectly fine with me. The ship departed from Miami, FL then visited Nassau, Bahamas, Coco Cay (Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas), Key West, FL and back to Miami, FL. Here are pictures of some places we visited:

Online Boutique: Maggie May Swimwear

I am back!!! Coming back to rainy Ohio is depressing but it's good to be home. I've missed you guys so much. I do have an exciting post to share with you today. Summer is quickly approaching and it’s time to shop for bikinis. Today, I want to share with you a fairly new swimwear brand called Maggie May Swimwear (MMS). MMS kindly asked me to pick out the color of a Brazilian swimsuit for this review.  I chose the yellow you see below. Finding a bikini that fits isn't an easy task. Over the years, I have become quite picky about the things I wear - especially when it comes to swimwear. This super sexy suit is a one-of-a-kind and isn't in production yet. It will be featured in their 2012 line at the Mercedes-Benz Swim Week this July.

CLOSED - One Year Blog-Anniversary Giveaway!!!

The month of May marks my one-year blog anniversary. I'd like to say thank you to everyone that has stopped by my blog and to all my loyal readers. It's true what they say, time flies when you're having fun. What better way to celebrate the blog's anniversary than to host a giveaway for my wonderful readers! To celebrate this special month, I am giving away the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

PetiteLittleGirl.com

I wanted to giveaway something fun and unique. Although this is a fashion blog and not a beauty blog, I am sure one of you will certainly enjoy this palette. It has been in high demand and sold out everywhere. One of my coworkers was on Sephora’s waiting list for a while. She informed me when the palettes are back in stock. I stopped by Sephora a few weeks ago just in time to grab the last one. Intentionally, I purchased it for myself. However, I am not a makeup junkie so I thought it would be fun to give it away. One of PLG’s lucky readers will have a chance to win this brand-new beautiful palette.

To enter this giveaway, all you have to do is become a public follower of PetiteLittleGirl.com. One extra entry will be given for tweeting about this giveaway (Click here to tweet).

The giveaway opens internationally and ends on 05.31 at midnight EST. The winner will be selected using random.org.
Good luck, everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today I feel extra special! It's Mother's Day. Little one was giggling all week so I knew she was up to something. We don’t celebrate every single holiday. However, I think it is important to celebrate holidays which have special meanings. I really don’t know what to expect today. Much to my surprise and delight, my husband has arranged a mother-daughter spa day for me and the little one. We were getting pampered today!

Few quick notes...

Just a few short notes today. I went to H&M earlier to check out their swimwear collection. Let me tell you, they’re gorgeous!!! Starting at just $4.95 a piece, I went a little crazy at the store. The smallest size that I could find in tops and bottoms was a size 4. The tops are slightly padded which I love. I found this collection extremely fun with the vibrant colors and gorgeous prints. I also picked up this Victoria Secret Maya Twist Bandeau and the double-string bottom yesterday (both in XS). I have to say, H&M quality is just as nice as Victoria Secret’s even though they cost so much less. If you’re looking for affordable swimwear for the summer, I highly recommend this collection. A size 4 fits me perfectly.

PetiteLittleGirl.com

I know a few petite bloggers have picked up this Ann Taylor Exotic Skinny Belt. If you like the belt but do not want to pay that hefty price tag, this H&M belt is a great alternative. I love this belt and was super excited to found an XS in store. It fits me perfectly with no extra holes needed. For those of you who are into colorful belts, you should check out their new arrivals. Belts start at just $5.95.

I’d like to thank everyone who purchased stuff from my blog sale. Everything has shipped out. For a couple of remaining items, I’ll ship them for free if anyone is interested. Click here to shop.

Last but not least, don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win a brand-new Urban Decay Naked Palette. As always, a huge thank to everyone who entered.

Have a great weekend!

Review: The Limited Eyelet Skirt - Size 0

Feminine details are one of the top spring trends. Lace, ruffles, eyelet, crotchet - I love them all. I like the Ann Taylor Factory crochet skirt (as seen here on Cee) but it is way too expensive and also required alterations. While walking by The Limited last week, I decided to step in just to look. I can’t remember when was the last time I actually bought something from them. Their sizing runs huge and certainly is not petite-friendly. I was beyond thrilled to walk out the store with this eyelet skirt
