Introducing: Precis Petite Collection

Pin It
I became attracted to British fashion in the past year or so because of its fashion-forward pieces at purse-friendly prices. When Precis contacted me to introduce their petite collection, I couldn't wait to check them out. From their site "Precis is the leading choice for the petite woman. Exclusively designed to enhance the 5 ft 3” and under figure, collections have been carefully constructed to create a perfectly proportioned wardrobe for the modern woman". Sounds like a dream, right? What makes them different is the Precis' petite collection is not just scaled from a regular size cut, but tailored specifically for petite woman. Below are some of my picks from their petite collection:

You can find a variety of clothing pieces at Precis from dresses, skirts, outerwear to accessories. Clothing items starting in UK6 to UK18. Precis is currently implementing worldwide shipping. They do ship internationally. However, shipping to the US is not available at this time.

I wished that you waited to post this sponsored blog post until the post was actually mutually beneficial to you, the company, and the reader. While I'm really excited to hear about this new company for me to check out, it's disappointing to hear that they are only working on providing worldwide shipping and actually do not ship to the US yet, where I am assuming a majority of your readers reside. And, because this is a sponsored post, I wish you would have waited to try on your picks and give your thoughts on the actual quality and fit of the clothes. It makes me feel as one your readers that either you don't understand that this doesn't provide any immediate value to your readers beyond just knowing this company exists and will eventually offer shipping to the US at some unknown time or you just wanted to make the post to take advantage of that fact that company wanted to leverage you for your readership.

@Anonymous Thank you for stopping by and I genuinely appreciate your input. Notice that my post title started with “introducing” meaning I just simply wanted to tell you you there is an online store from the UK that carries petite clothing. I haven't had a chance to try on their clothes and that's why this is not a review nor recommendation. 70% of my readers are from the U.S and the other 30% are from all over the world (with the larger percentage is in the U.K). I sure hope readers from one of those countries that Precis ships to will give it a try and give me some feedback if they do. While the majority of my readers are from the US, I don't intend to post things that are available for US consumers only. It's not fair for the other 30% of my readers. The same goes for hosting giveaways limited to readers in the U.S. Precis is planning to ship to the US in the very near future. Hopefully, I will have a chance to truly try on their clothes and do a proper review.

The green dress looks lovely!

I agree with Anonymous on this, Sydney. I was offered the same thing and turned them down because I don't think it's fair to post anything unless the writer has seen the item in person or has interviewed the designer or owner of a company (unless the company just wants to place an ad).

@SydneysFashionDiary.comHi Sydney,

By posting this on your blog, you are recommending the company. This just makes me feel like I'm reading an empty ad, especially since you haven't had a chance to see and feel the quality of their items or talk about their service, which is ultimately more important than just telling people of this store's existence.

@CynthiaC Or is covering a fashion show remotely...my site will publish write-ups about fashion shows without seeing the fashion show live...

As reader and petite style blogger from the UK, I appreciate that Sydney has written this post as it's relevant to me and will be relevant to other UK readers.

Having owned many items from Precis Petite, I can confirm that there clothes are great.

They are of very high quality and fit well on petites.

I used to wear a lot of their suits when I worked in an office environment and can highly recommend them if you want high quality clothes that will last you for years.

@Carol Li But the problem is that it doesn't seem she has seen the collection in person. Had this been an interview with the manager or owner, it would be something different.

Thanks for the heads up, Sydney! I love the sleekness of the first few picks.

I agree also. It was irrelevant to me, however, if you have readers in the UK, then I guess they would be somewhat interested. An actual date of release for the US might have been helpful...but ordering from overseas is painful.
