I've been swooning over more delicate jewelry lately. I was simply delighted to discover Boutique Minimaliste. She has a ton of great dainty pieces from bracelets to necklaces. All of them were my favorites but what caught most of my attention was this navy & anchor beaded bracelet. The shop is located in Portugal. For US orders, shipping only takes 4-5 business days. DIY: Gold tube necklace

I do love my statement jewelry but sometimes it’s nice just to wear simple, delicate pieces for a casual look (especially when it's so hot outside). I've been wanting a simple bar necklace for a while but couldn't settle on anything so I decided to make my own version instead.

Supplies:

- Curved Noodle Tube Beads 40mm x 2mm: I got these tubes from Amazon and am very happy with the purchase. They are made from 14K gold filled, come in a pack of 2, definitely have a good weight and feel to them.
- Fashion chain: You can use an old chain if you'd like. I got this chain from Michael's. Make sure your chain is small enough to feed through the tube.
- Jump rings and spring rings: I got these at Joann's but you can find them at any craft store.

What to wear when you’re expecting (Part III): Wrap dresses

Continuing my series of “What to wear when you're expecting”, the item I wanted to highlight today is a wrap dress. (Part I: How to style a boyfriend blazer and Part II: How to style a maxi dress).

For the office, wrap dresses are a great solution. The beauty of the wrap dress is the wrap portion. You can make it as tight or as loose as you want. Since it’s a wrap dress, I have the ability to adjust it. For expectant mothers, wrap dresses are great for transition to and from pregnancy. I lived in this Old Navy wrap dress throughout my first and second trimester. Although, it is getting shorter since my tummy is getting bigger every day.

$2 for a pair of Swarovski stud diamond earrings from Eversave

Collage

I love stud earrings for many reasons: easy to wear, can't be pulled on by young children and they look great for everyday wear. I saw an incredible deal this morning in my mailbox and wanted to share. From now until Friday (7.20), you can get a pair of Swarovski stud diamond (CZ) earrings for $2.00 from Eversave (similar to Groupon). Isn’t that sweet? The original value was $59.99. That's a 97% savings! Code available immediately after purchase on Eversave and $5.95 flat rate shipping applies. If you sign up through my referral link, you’ll get a $5 credit to your account. That's more than enough for 2 free pairs of Swarovski earrings. You may buy up to 5 pairs. I am getting multiple pairs for my little girl and gifts. Hope you'll take advantage of this deal as well.

Happy shopping!

5 random things I am loving right now

1. Batiste Dry Shampoo
I've always been curious about dry shampoo but never committed to trying it. After weeks of research and countless hours of web surfing, I decided to give the Batiste Dry Shampoo Original a try. The online reviews were right, this dry shampoo is amazing. I have thin hair, and if I don't wash it every day, it gets oily. Well, I don't need to do that anymore. To use, just simply shake the bottle and spray onto oily parts of your hair. It will leave a white powdery finish to your hair at first but don't worry. Leave on for a couple of minutes then brush out. It gives my hair the most fantastic instant volume. Using dry shampoo is a super easy and quick way to give your hair a boost. It smells fresh and the price can't be beat. I highly recommend this product to those who'd like to give dry shampoo a try.

Shades of grey

I'm in my third trimester and still haven't bought much in the way of maternity clothes overall. I really couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on maternity clothes especially when I only have less than 12 weeks to go. Some people think buying normal clothes a couple sizes larger when you’re pregnant is the way to go. Please don’t! Your frame doesn’t change much when you’re pregnant. Buying bigger sizes may fit around the belly but won’t look good everywhere else.

Dress: Space dye dress - c/o SugarLips - size XS (buy similar)
Necklace: Lia Sophia - old (buy similar)
Clutch: Banana Republic - old (buy similar)
Shoes: Steve Madden - old (buy similar)

Gold chains and necklaces are quickly becoming a fashion trend as of late. Chain necklaces are suited for both men and women, and can be the perfect accent to any outfit. I was drawn to this simple yet bold necklace from JewelIQ. This particular 16-inch necklace (with 3" extension) falls perfectly around the base of my neck. The necklace's matte finish also gives it a modern feel. I personally prefer matte over the glossy finish.

I see stars

I've been embracing prints this year. Sometimes it's fun to experience different colors and patterns that you don't normally wear. Although it's not a typical color combination for a Fourth of July outfit, I do feel patriotic wearing this starry dress. It is perfect for virtually any activity on the 4th, from a backyard BBQ to going to the parade and watching fireworks. Happy Independence Day to all my US readers!

What I am wearing:
Dress: Chiffon star printed dress c/o Sheinside
Purse: Chanel flap (buy similar)
Sandals: Steve Madden (buy similar)
Necklace: c/o LYLIF (buy almost identical version)

Life's a beach

After spending 3 days in Orlando, we took a road trip to Clearwater, FL. Having always been fans of the ocean and beaches, we were excited to spend the rest of our vacation on the beach. While the first part of our vacation consisted of 3 days full of planned activities, the second part was all about doing nothing but relaxing.
