KushyFoot Review

Today, I wanted to share some of the most unique socks on the market. KushyFoot reached out to me last month and offered to send me a few samples of their socks to try. Out of everything I received, I am most excited about the flats to go. I love wearing heels. However, it's not always practical for me to run around with my daughters in heels. I always have a pair of flats in either my car or my purse. I love these flats because they're very compact and great for emergency uses. Please note that there is absolutely no support in this flat whatsoever. They're portable and suitable in case of style emergencies only.

The package also came with several pairs of socks. They're so fun to wear. I especially love the lace toe covers with clear slingback (how awesome are they!). If you think socks and open toe shoes isn't a winning combination, think again. No matter what kind of shoes you're wearing, KushyFoot has the foot cover choice for every shoe and every situation.

Black & White

I mentioned in this post that I do not own a black pencil skirt. Almost a year later, I finally found the perfect black pencil skirt. I got it for under $20 during the 4th of July weekend and love it so much. The fit is absolutely perfect. I am wearing a size 0P here. This skirt either runs small or I am getting bigger lol =) Banana Republic items tend to run generously in sizing. Whatever the case may be, I am glad to cross an item off my list.

Floral Skirt and Lariat Necklace

If you're a long time follower of my blog then you know I love a good bargain. I am a true believer that you don't have to spend a fortune to look stylish, As a matter of fact, some of my closet favorites cost next-to-nothing. This gorgeous skirt is my newest purchase and I paid a mere $8 for it at a warehouse sale. I absolutely adore this skirt. The cut/fit is very flattering. This beautiful wrinkle-free knit fabric is so comfortable to wear. This particular print is no longer available but I believe this is the exact same skirt in a different print.

What I am wearing:
Skirt: ASOS - under $23 (size 2)
Tee: Forever 21 (available in 19 colors)
Necklace: Gems In Vogue c/o
Sunglasses: Zero UV (splurge)

Blue gingham sweatshirt

This adorable gingham top is so perfect for a summer picnic. I love the unique design and how versatile it is. It kind of reminds me of a picnic table cloth =) I am pairing it with my favorite white shorts. It can also be styled with a pair of cutoff denim shorts or layered on top of a white dress. The possibilities are endless!

Summer Style: Ann Taylor eyelet shirtdress

I picked up this dress 2 weeks ago and am so in love with it. Tonight, you can score this beautiful dress for only $36 with code FLASH70. I am wearing a size 00 petite here and couldn't have asked for a better fit. It's hard to see in photos but the top part of the dress is not lined. However, I don't mind a slightly too sheer fabric in the summer. The bottom part of the dress is fully lined. For those who fall into a similar size range as me, measurements are as follows: shoulder-to-shoulder = 10", waist = 13.5", overall length = 35". I love the dress and at this amazing price, I am 100% recommend this beauty if you're on the hunt for a cute white summer dress.

What I am wearing:
Dress: Ann Taylor eyelet shirtdress - size 00P
Belt: Hermes (many options available here)
Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana
Earrings: Express (love!)

I went to the Bachelor audition

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is open to the public today. I don't have a card so today is the first day that I can shop. However, to be completely honest with you, I am tired of hearing about the sale. I understand that this a great opportunity for shoppers to save and for bloggers to earn commissions but seeing my reading feed filled with #NSale is kind of ruined me. I acquired a few items last Fall and am happy with what I currently have in my closet for the upcoming season. Therefore, I won't be shopping the sale and will spare you "my picks".

On an unrelated note, I wanted to share something a little different today. You might or might not know I am the biggest fan of the Bachelor(ette) show. I've been watching the show for years and years. My husband is also hooked on it (shhh!). It's our guilty pleasure. We usually wait until the kids go to bed to watch the show on Monday nights. Anyway, they had an audition in my city last weekend and a couple of my girlfriends and I decided to go check it out. BTW, none of us were interested in joining the show. We were there purely for entertainment purposes.

The audition was held at a very casual restaurant near downtown Columbus. We were afraid that everything was going happen in a private area but that wasn't the case. We arrived early and got a table that was very close to the audition area. So basically, the girls came in and got the application from one of the crew members. I really wanted to see what the application looks like but was too chicken to come up and ask for one (looked like a serious set of questions). Took them about 30-45 minutes to finish. After the application is done, they had their pictures taken. If the crew members like that they see, the contestant will now earn a one-on-one interview (which happened about two feet from where we sat). It was pretty hilarious trying to listen to their conversations. As far as what they wore to the audition, some were cute and some were definitely questionable. We had a great time and some good laughs. I am curious to see if any of them will make it to the show. It was hot that day so I wore this trapeze dress. I like the print but the quality of the dress is questionable. If you're watching this season, who are you rooting for? Hope you enjoy a little insight and have a wonderful weekend.

Hits & Misses # 7: White Lace Tiered Dress

As promised here - today, I am showing the rest of my order I received from She In a few weeks ago. Other than these shorts, this dress was also a hit for me. You know how much I love lace and this dress is a great addition to my closet. The quality of this dress exceeds what I would expect. It's fully lined and certainly feels nicer than some of the other items from She In. I am 5'2 and and the small fits perfectly, not to body hugging and just falls right above my knee.

What I am wearing:
Dress: Tiered lace dress c/o (size S)
Clutch: Mango *unavailable* (similar option here)

Red Jumpsuit and Leopard Print Clutch

I love jumpsuits as much as rompers. When Live The Look reached out to me to introduce their shopping concept, this red jumpsuit immediately caught my attention. As fashion and technology began to merge even more, Twitter's former fashion marketing executive, Francesca Heline, launched

The site allows consumers to shop based off their existing wardrobe. You tell Live The Look what your current wardrobe staples are and your styling reference to get suggested looks on shopping suggestions. You shop for missing pieces in your closet to complement your existing wardrobe instead of adding an excess to your closet. They carry a wide range of products from high-end designers like Burberry and Marc Jacobs to more affordable brands like ASOS and Topshop.

Banana Republic & JCrew : Amazing sales

In addition to the Ann Taylor 60% off summer's best promotion, 2 of my frequent retailers are also running some killer promotions this weekend. I stopped by the mall yesterday for a quick shopping trip so I thought I'd share some fitting room pics today. First up is Banana Republic - Take an additional 50%-60% off all sale styles (online and in stores). Read sizing info below. I walked out with this skirt (paid a mere $4.80 for it)

Bleached denim shirt ($25)
Textured cross-back pullover ($25)
Ruched jersey shirt ($17 online - $4.80 in stores): I love this skirt! I've eyeing it for months and eventually forgot about it. So excited to see it was still available in my size. The skirt is extremely comfortable to wear and very cute in person.
Sloan fit dress ($45 online - $26 in stores): I am wearing a size 0P below. This is a great classic piece for work. The cut is very flattering and I love the fit. I passed because I own so many sheath dresses already.
Lace shorts ($30 online - $16 in stores): If you're looking for a pair of lace shorts for summer, I highly recommend these. I already own a similar pair so I passed. Wearing a size 00P below and they fit amazing well. The shorts are 100% lined.
Drapey vest ($35)
Mint sandals and D'Orsay pumps: I don't recall exactly how much they were but both pairs were under $25 in stores
Plaid scarf ($22)

Up next is J.Crew: Same promotion - Take an additional 50%-60% off all sale styles (online and in stores)

Target has the best basics

I picked up a couple of summer essentials from Target last month and am loving them so much. Today, I wanted to quickly share a few thoughts. I am huge fan of Target when it comes to basics. The quality is decent, they're affordable and have held up well. Take this tee as an example - For only $7, this tee is a fantastic piece. If you're familiar with the J.Crew linen pocket tee, the Target one has the same look and feel except it's way cheaper. I own this tee in several colors and this hot pink one was my latest purchase. They are great for everyday wear and have held up well in the wash.

What I am wearing:
Tee: Mossimo (available in 21 colors/patterns)
Sandals: Mossimo flat sandals (available in 4 colors)
Shorts: American Eagle *old*
Sunglasses: Available in 8 colors for under $20

Hits & Misses # 6: Colorblock rompers

Today's post features a hit and a miss from Romwe. First up is this cute romper. Rompers are all in the rage this summer and I am a huge fan (don't judge!). They're fun, flirty and give you maximum style with minimal effort. This little number might not look like anything spectacular, but the fit is amazing. The black and white contrast is so chic. The rompers come with a removable self tie belt but I decided to use a different belt. If black & white isn't your choice of color palette, this jumpsuit is available in the combination of black and nude as well. This particular item is part of their BOGO 50% off promotion

What I am wearing:
Rompers: Colorblock rompers c/o Romwe (size S)
Clutch: Mango *old* (many options available here)
Shoes: Express *old* (this year's version)

Floral Shorts & Chambray Shirt

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. The past 3 days flew by so fast. It's time to go back to work. Today's post features these darling floral shorts. It's been awhile since I've been excited about an item from SheIn. For under $20, these shorts are definitely a hit. Floral and chambray is one of my favorite combinations so naturally, I paired them with my new chambray shirt. I really love the way this look turned out. These shorts are 100% lined (waist = 13", length = 11"). As usual, I received 4 items from my last order. 2 out of the 4 items I like pretty well and the other 2 aren't so great. I will feature the other hit along with the "misses" later this week.

What I am wearing:
Shorts: c/o SheIn - size S

Creating memories with Soufeel

I've been thinking about starting a Pandora bracelet for my daughter. I love the idea of each charm represents a life's special moment. It'd make a very personal piece of jewelry for her. However, Pandora charms are not exactly wallet-friendly (especially for a 10 year old girl). When Soufeel reached out to me, I am excited to learn that they offer a wide variety of products that will suit every occasion. Soufeel charms are the same size as Pandora but prices are much more affordable. I am honestly impressed with the quality of their charms. They are made from 925 sterling silver, 14(K) gold, rose gold or Swarovski crystals which can fit any Pandora bracelet.

For my daughter, I picked out the following 6 charms. They are beautiful, suitable for her age and most importantly, all meaningful to her.
- Happy family: Our family of 4
- Eiffel Tower: Her trip to Europe earlier this year
- Bonbon charm: Her love for candy =)
- June birthstone: Her birthday is in June
- Letter C: Her first initial
- Gemini charm: Her Zodiac sign

Soufeel offers free shipping worldwide with orders over $50 as well as 365-day return/exchange guarantee. They are launching lots of summer new arrivals on their website. If you're interested, please use code "BLOG5" to receive 5% off any order.
