Blush Pink Lace Dress

TomFordSunglasses_SydneysFashionDiary

With Valentine's Day just 2 weeks away, here is an outfit idea if you're planning to go out for a dinner date with your significant other. I don't wear pink often so am happy to rock a pretty pink lace dress for Valentine's. This dress has a unique take on a classic. At a quick glance, looks like I am wearing a crop top and a skirt but 2 pieces are connected by the back zipper. The combination of a crop top with a high waisted skirt shows just a sliver of skin at your most flattering point. I own quite a few clothing items from Shein and think this dress is one of their better ones. The dress is fully lined and has great online reviews. Donate A Bra :: Change A Life

A few weeks ago, Soma reached out to see if I might be interested in speaking about their campaign with the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). Of course I said yes! In July 2010, Soma set out on a mission to make a different by collecting new and gently worn bras to donate to victims of domestic violence. Survivors often arrive at the shelters with little more than the clothes they're wearing and rely on donated items to get back on their feet. Bras are one of the most needed yet least donated clothing item for women. In partnership with NNEDV, the leading voice for survivors of domestic violence, and their 2,000 shelter programs across the United States, the bras collected are distributed to women in need in local communities. Soma is in the midst of their latest Bra Donation campaign. You can find more details and heartbreaking stories here.

Saint Laurent Monogram Leather Clutch Review

Happy Friday! It's been a hot minute since I did a handbag-related post. Today, I am reviewing the latest addition to my handbag collection - the Saint Laurent Monogram clutch. This was one of my Christmas presents. BTW, are you interested in a "what I got for Christmas" post? I got some really great ideas from watching "what I got for Christmas" videos on YouTube. However, I don't want to come off as bragging. I know I am blessed to have so many great things in my life. If you're interested, let me know. Otherwise, I'll just review them as I use them.

The truth is I ordered this exact clutch in gold hardware from Saks in October. Within the same week, I found the bag that I've been stalking for months. I couldn't justify spending the money on both so I returned the clutch. Then I kept thinking about it (it's a blessing and a curse at the same time). When Christmas rolled around, I am thankful that hubby let me pull the trigger on this clutch =) I've used it a few times during the holidays and can't recommend it enough

Winter Lookbook 2016

With a goal of producing more quality content in mind, I am excited to publish my 2017 winter lookbook - sorry for a typo in the title. I know this 4-minute video may not seem like much but it took my husband and I days to film and edit. Please bear with us as we're still trying to figure things out (lighting, editing and where to film). I hope to do more styling videos this year. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. In this video, I put together 4 different outfits that I'd personally wear (work-appropriate, any occasion, going out and running errands). I want to emphasize how to layer without the bulk. Up to 70% off J.Crew sale

J.Crew is having 40% - 50% off all sale items today. Some of them are up to 70% off. A few of my closet favorites are on major sale right now. Definitely worth taking a look

JCrewSale2016_SydneysFashionDiary

1. Icon trench in plaid (almost 50% off): I received this jacket for Christmas and am in love. I plan to do a proper review but sizes are selling out fast. It fits really nicely in my normal size (00 regular). One thing I want to point out, the material is not the same as their regular icon trench. It's lighter and perfect for mild weather. However, if you live in a cold climate like I do, you would need extra layers. Regardless, it's still a great addition to my wardrobe.

2. Sperry snow boots: I purchased the same pair last year and got so much use out of them. This year's version is currently 40% off (read my full review here)

3. Lady day coat in wool: If you're a regular reader of this blog, you know how much I love this coat. I mentioned it countless time on here. It's currently on sale for more than half off. Definitely worth every penny (read my full review here)

4. Signet bag in Italian leather: I don't own this bag but I did try it on a few months ago (see the bag on me). It's on sale right now for more than 1/2 off and the color is to die for. For $56, I am very contemplating on picking one up for myself.

The perfect leather pants :: Camel coat

WinterOutfitIdeas_SydneysFashionDiary

I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of leather pants for what seems like forever. There are many options out there for faux leather leggings but for faux leather pants, not so much. I ordered a couple of pairs to try and none of them worked out for me. This pair from BlankNYC has amazing reviews but the inseam is too long for my liking. I also tried on this pair. The length is great but the waistband and bum areas are just too big. Then I stumbled upon this pair from Zara and decided to give it a try. These pants turned out perfect for what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, they're sold out online but might still be available in-stores. I just ordered them last week. Outfit details: Zara leather pants | similar camel wool coat | Chanel boy bag | Tom Ford sunglasses | GAP tee

Best purchases of 2016

I hope you've all had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to tackle the new year. I took a much needed break and am looking forward to what 2017 has in store. Today, I wanted to share 6 best purchases I've made in 2016. They bring me joy and I can't recommend them enough. Would love to hear your best purchases of 2016 in the comment section.

BestPurchasesOf2016_SydneysFashionDiary

1. Best handbag purchase - Chanel wallet on chain: Starting with my favorite category! 2016 was definitely a year of handbags. I acquired 4 new handbags in 2016 (I did let go a couple of bags that did not work out for me). Even though the Hermes Kelly is my most expensive handbag, the Chanel WOC definitely takes the cake in terms of my favorite bag. It's stylish, functional and can we talk about how gorgeous this shade of red is?
2. Best jewelry purchase -  Cartier love ring: I purchased this ring as a replacement of my wedding band (more on that in a later post) and have been wearing it every single day. Inside the ring, I had engraved both of our names and the date of our wedding. Makes me smile every time I look at it.
3. Best fragrance - Jo Malone peony and blush suede: I started collecting Jo Malone colognes earlier this year and so far, the peony and blush suede is my # 1 choice of scent. It's light, elegant and lasts all day. I can't get enough of that scent.

4. Best shoe purchase - Banana Republic loafers *on major sale now*: This was a random purchase but it turned out to be one of the best ones. These loafers are so comfortable. I wore them for a full day of walking and got no blisters. I wore them to death during Fall and early winter. They run true to size and I can't recommend them enough
5. Best clothing purchase - Blank NYC suede moto jacket: I only purchased a handful of clothing items in 2016 and this suede jacket is definitely one of my favorites. The quality is incredible. Fits so well and you can't beat the price. Mine was a Bloomingdale's exclusion but there are more colors available here.
6. Best beauty purchaseTatcha skincare: I am not a makeup junkie so I don't have anything to share. However, I'd recommend Tatcha skincare products. I have used their products for about 6 months and am seeing major improvements with my skin. They are well worth the price. The starter kit is a great way to try a full skincare routine without the huge commitment.
