Petite-friendly flared jeans (and budget-friendly too)

If you pay attention to Fall trends then you know flare jeans are making a big comeback. I have always loved flare jeans so I couldn't be happier they're back in style. However, finding a pair of flared jeans for short girls is extremely difficult. My ideal inseam would be 31" but that doesn't exist. I was looking for a pair of flared jeans that are fitted through the hip/thigh (with no waist gap), the flare starts right at the knee, thick cotton material, length = 31", classic wash and under $100. I know that's a lot to ask for =)

I scoured the Internet for weeks and finally found the perfect pair that met almost all my needs (except the inseam). Since they have everything that I was looking for and are affordable, I decided to make a purchase and have them hemmed to my desired length. I love them so much that I had to get both shades.

I highly recommend trying on your jeans and putting on the shoes that you prefer to wear them with before taking your jeans for alterations. I had 2" hemmed off the length of the dark wash so I can wear them with my short ankle boots and 1.5" off the length of the light wash so I can wear them with my tall wedges. I asked my seamstress to keep the original hem. It cost $18 per pair for hemming, putting the total cost of each pair at $50 (not to shabby!). I am thrilled to have 2 pairs of well fitting and reasonably priced flared jeans to rock this Fall.

Love the flare jeans! It is really great finding your blog. I am petite too and I know the struggle of trying to find things that fit just right. <3

Love these flared jeans! They look really pretty on you! The length alteration is perfect! Do you know what they did so that the hem looks identical to the original? I never get that result! Have a nice day!

Those flare jeans are so cute! I had to get mine hemmed too - they never are the right length!
