What I got for my family this Christmas

Can't believe Christmas is roughly 2 weeks away. I am basically done with my Christmas shopping. I just need to wrap all those presents and put them under the tree. We asked the girls to write down what they would like for Christmas. We typically take care of the big ticket items then share the smaller/less expensive gift ideas with family members. They get what they want and I don't have to lose my mind with Christmas shopping. It's a win-win situation for everyone and we've been doing that for as long as I can remember. For Courtney: She only asked for a few things and would prefer to have $$ for Christmas.

For Madelyn:
  • Nutcracker outfit set for AG dolls: I love this set. She's very into American Girl dolls right now and has been acquired quite a collection.
  • Hover-1 Hoverboard: She has been asking for a hoverboard for 2 years now. We held off because I think she was still a bit young for it. This year we decided that it was time.
  • The North Face reversible jacket: I picked up a new jacket for her this year. It's reversible and so cozy.
  • Cozy polar blanket: I also picked up a couple of cozy blankets for the girls. They love this kind of blanket and each has several.

For my Dad:
  • Dyson V10 cordless vacuum: I love my vacuum to death so I thought I would get my Dad one too. They have a small space but needed a light vacuum for the stairs. This Dyson is lightweight but super powerful. I am sure he'll be thrilled to have this in his life.
  • Sleep aid device: My Dad has been having trouble sleeping lately. I wanted to find something that could help him fall asleep faster. I did a lot of research and this sleep aid device sounds promising. There are over 5000 positive reviews so keeping my fingers crossed for a positive result.

For my in-laws:
  • Nikon Binocular: We got this for my father in law. He has a love of nature and the outdoors so we thought this would make a wonderful gift for him. This particular model has fantastic reviews. Can't wait to see him taking this binocular to view wildlife/scenery at a local park.
  • Kindle paperwhite e-reader: My mother-in-law is a bookworm. She loves to read. She goes through books like crazy. Sadly, she hasn't been to her local library for months due to the pandemic. We thought this e-reader would make her very happy. For a small monthly fee, she can download more than a million books for free from Kindle Unlimited.
  • Fuzzy slippers: Can't go wrong with fuzzy slippers =)

For my husband:
  • PhoneSoap 3: I got him the latest version of the PhoneSoap. If you're not familiar with it, it's a smartphone sanitizer & charger. Did you know your phone is 10 times dirtier than a toilet sea? It's a practical gift during the pandemic.
  • GoPro HERO9 Waterproof Camera: My husband actually asked for this. Being an outdoors enthusiast, he couldn't be happier with this new toy. I am very impressed with the video quality. We might take a ski trip this Winter. If so, definitely will bring this GoPro camera with us.
  • Apple Magic Mouse 2: I upgraded his mouse for work =) ChristmasGiftIdeas2020_SydneysFashionDiary
