I typically pack all my summer clothes at the end of October and wait for next year to reclaim them. This year, I try to find ways to translate my summer garments into wearable winter outfits. Floral prints are often associated with happiness, so the question is why not embrace it and introduce some floral prints into your winter wardrobe? For this particular outfit, I wore a black turtleneck to offset my floral skirt. To make the most of your closet, try to pair dark pieces with summer clothes and you may be surprised by how versatile your outfit can be.

Jacket: H&M
Readers, do you have any tips on how to maximize your wardrobe?

I love your sweatcoat, Sydney. Happy holidays to you & a fun Christmas w/the new, little one :)
I never out my summer clothes away and somehow try and incorporate it.
Wow, that goes together surprisingly well. I should try it with my one floral skirt
I love and always do pair my floral skirt with my black sweater!
super cute Sydney! I actually don't pack away my summer clothes just bc I like wearing it during the winter also. Especially with booties and just some black leggings.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, how special that it's madelynn first xmas!!!
Hi Sydney! I know I've been MIA - I keep saying that don't I? You look amazing! Great way to remix this skirt - I would have just worn it in the summer!
I have to quickly scroll through blogs these days so don't get to comment as often as I would like but just wanted to say 'hi' and wish you and the family a very Merry Christmas!!
Such a cute skirt! I like how you have re-mixed it for winter; and I like the summer look too. The beautiful colors definitely add a softness to the black pieces.
As for ways I maximize my wardrobe, I like wearing dresses as tops, dresses as skirts...thanks to this post, I may give remixing a try with my floral skirt! :) Great post.
@gigiofca Thank you, Gigi! Happy Holidays to you and your family as well =)
@Yvonne Huynh She is another reason that we're so looking forward to Christmas this year. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
@Elaine A (TOBeautyReviews) Hi Elaine! Thank you for stopping by. I know everyone is busy this time of the year. I haven't commented much on blogs lately, either. Hope you had a wonderful vacation and Merry Christmast to you and your husband!
great way to take a summer piece into the next season! hope you're doing well! xox P
Just a change in shirt color really does help this skirt go from summer to winter! Great job! I'd do the same and wear tights like you!
What a beautiful skirt! I find that some of mine don't go so easily from spring to winter but you managed to do it beautifully.
