Review: Articles of Society Mya Skinny jeans

I rarely wear jeans but am always on the lookout for a good pair. A few months ago, I bought these J.Brand 901 skinnies and have been wearing them repeatedly on the weekend. I’d love to own a few different shades but the price tag isn't exactly wallet-friendly. If you're a long time follower of this blog, you'll know I always tend to look for affordable options when it comes to shopping. Back in June, Articles of Society (AOS) has introduced me to their denim collection. The thought of wearing jeans in 90-degree weather making me sweat. I am glad that it's finally cool enough to take these jeans out for a spin.

I am wearing the Mya skinny in this post. Fabric contains 78% cotton, 20% polyester % spandex. They feel very comfortable and stretchy. When I first tried them on, I noticed how soft they are against my skin. I made sure to wear them for the entire day so I can really test them out. They didn't stretch out or loose their shape during a full-day of wearing.

What I am wearing:

Bottom: AOS Mya skinnies in light wash - size 25 

Tee: Forever 21 - size L (love it so much!)

Blazer: Ann Taylor strip jacket - size 00P

Bag: Tory Burch Robinson double-zip tote

Shoes: Express two-strap heeled sandals

Sunglasses: ZeroUV mirrored sunglasses

I did take my usual size of 25 in these and they definitely run true to size in comparison to my J.Brand ones. AOS denim starts from size 23 to size 32. This is actually my very first pair of light denim. I don’t own anything in this wash previously. Personally, I don’t think it’s as versatile as the dark wash but it’s always good to have variety in your closet. I must say this wash is perfect for this time of the year. The minimal pocket design is always a plus. I love the mid-rise. It gives a good coverage all around and is flattering for all body types.

Measurements for a size 25 as follows: Waist (laying flat) = 13″ Rise = 8″ Inseam = 32″ Leg opening = 4.75″. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a really soft, comfortable jean that’s super skinny and flattering at the same time.
