Affordable swimsuit review (all under $15)

Today, I have a quick swimsuit review for you. A few of these I purchased for my daughter. She's approaching the pre-teen stage where clothes from the children's section is too kiddy for her but she can't fit into junior clothing just yet. Since Asian clothing runs small in general, I thought I'd give it a try and hope they will work out in her favor.

1. Mesh panel high neck swimsuit: This suit fits true to size. I am wearing a size small here. Both the top and bottom are fine. What I like: The color is eye catching and I love the mesh detailing. It's sexy without revealing too much. Racer-back swim tops are my favorites. The bottom has moderate coverage. What I don't like: The bottom is unlined. It's not see through but the quality could be a bit better.

2. Leaf print racerback swimsuit: This print is so on trend. I ordered this particular set for my daughter but it ended up being too big. What I like: The print is perfect for a beach vacation. A size small fits me perfectly. What I don't like: The inserts are quite stiff. They weren't removable and look unnatural on. I had to made a slit and took them out.

3. Gingham scalloped: I ordered this set for me but it did not work out :( What I like: Love the print and the scalloped trim. This set is so on trend. The fabric is very comfortable to wear. What I don't like: the bottom fits amazing but the top doesn't. The band of the top is not adjustable and way too big. Also, the cups are so stiff and they don't do anything for me. I think I am going to wear the bottom with a plain black swim top because I do like how it looks on me.

4. Palm tree bikini set: I order this set for my daughter and she loves it. My daughter is 12 so I would say the set runs small. The top is not revealing at all and the quality is amazing. Both the top and bottom are fully lined.

5. Leaf print wrapped bikini set: This set is for my daughter as well. The top is adjustable which is great. However, the ties are extremely long. She can literally wrap it around her 3 times. Very nice quality for under $15. However, the bottom runs big. You can tell the difference between the 2 sets in the photo below. They are both in a size S.

6. Floral cut-out bikini set: This is her absolute favorite swimsuit. Both the top and bottom fit her perfectly (they definitely run really small for an adult). The quality is amazing for how much it costs.

7. Halter Ruched Caged Bikini: Last but not least, I ordered this set for me but again, it didn't work out. What I like: I love the unique design. It's quite different. The quality is amazing. It's 100% lined and very well made. I am pleasantly surprised by how nice they feel in person. What I don't like: A small wasn't available at the time of purchase so I took a medium instead. They ended up being way too big. I would say they run true to size. A medium would fit a true 4 or 6.

For those who are interested, I placed my orders on 05/18 and received everything on 05/26. Orders from these sites usually take between 8-14 days to reach you.
