As you might remember I wrote a post sharing my tips and tricks for buying pre-loved luxury handbags here. A significant saving: Most watches are like new cars, its value deappreciates the minute you walk out of the store (unless you have a collector's piece). In today's resell market, it's not very hard to find a used Rolex watch in pristine condition for thousands less with all original parts and paperwork. For example, the watch my husband wearing above retails for $8200. STORE 5a is selling it for $5995. You save $2200 on this pristine condition watch. The Cartier Love bracelet I am wearing here is $1200 less than retail. I don't know about you but it's hard for me to pass up a great discount.

Availability: When it comes to luxury goods, there is no shortage on the secondary market. My dream watch is a Rolex Datejust 36mm in stainless steel with a blue dial, Roman numeral hour and a fluted bezel lol (that was a mouthful). Even though, I am very particular about what I am looking for, the combination is very possible to find. STORE 5a has one available right now (with a flat bezel). Convenience: This probably only applies to those of you who live in a small city like me. There isn't a Cartier boutique near where I live. The closest one is in Chicago which is still a 6-hour drive from Columbus, OH. Having a local trusted source that carries these luxury brands is definitely a plus. I now have the option to see the actual item(s) in person and make the best purchase decisions.

Fantastic financing option: Last but not least, take advantage of their financing option if you can. Now I am not saying you should open a credit card and max it out. It does not make sense and I would not recommend it at all. However, if you've been saving for a big purchase and need a little help to make it happen sooner then a reasonable financing option is not a bad choice. STORE 5a offers FuturePay as a payment option that lets you buy now and pay later. Their flat financing charge of $5 per month for every $500 of carried balance (no hidden fees and no complicated math). That's a 1% interest guys. I've never seen an interest rate that low.
