Unboxing something very special to me

Happy Friday, ladies! Today, I have a quick unboxing for you. It's something very special to me - the Cartier Love bracelet that we purchased a few weeks ago. I am not a jewelry type of girl. Most of the time, I don't even wear my wedding/engagement rings. I rather have a few meaningful pieces than having a jewelry box full of stuff. I acquired the Love ring last year and knew one day, I'd love to have the matching bracelet. My husband and I started putting money aside every month towards the purchase. The plan was to purchase the bracelet as my 40th birthday present (yikes!). Our anniversary was in September and I told him not to get me anything. I know I blog about material things a lot but honestly, I am very happy and content with what I have. I seriously do not need anything. I told him instead of getting me something for our anniversary, why don't you just put the $$ towards the bracelet? He said OK. Fast forward to one month later, he said, why don't we go get your bracelet now? I didn't get you anything for our anniversary and I don't want you to wait another year. Let's just make the bracelet your anniversary/Christmas gift. Oh boy, he didn't have to tell me twice =) I tried the bracelet on before and pretty much knew my size. However, to make it extra special, we decided to take a day trip to Chicago to try it on again. We left the kids with my parents, drove 6 hours to Chicago, picked up the bracelet and drove another 6 hours back home. On the way back he said, I hope you know not many guys are willing to drive 12 hours in one day just to get you something (lol!!!) I am forever grateful for my husband who's always willing to go the extra mile to put a smile on my face. So, here it is!!!

We had an amazing experience shopping at Cartier. The store director - Danijela helped us that day. She was so sweet, helpful and professional. She went above and beyond to make us feel great about our purchase. I will do a separate blog post to share some of the things I've learned that day (the history, the sizing, the maintenance). Stay tuned! I am beyond grateful to have this beautiful bracelet on my wrist. It's very near and dear to my heart and I sure will treasure it for the rest of my life.
