30 for 30 Challenge Recap: Week 1

I made it through the first week of the 30x30 challenge! It was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. For the first few days, I struggled with accessorizing and putting outfits together. For instance, I grabbed a top then realized it wasn’t in my 30x30 pile. Opps! To make it easier on me, I decided to lay out my clothes the night before. It turned out better toward the end of the week. Here is the recap of my weekly outfits:

What I am wearing:
Day 1: H&M skirt (buy similar here), Hollister chambray shirt (buy similar here)
Day 2: LOFT skirt (buy similar here), J.Crew camp pocket cardigan (buy here)
Day 3: Apart seychelle day dress (buy here), Amrita Singh necklace in evergreen (buy here), F21 belt (buy here)
Day 4: Bebe linen pant (buy similar here), H&M blouse (buy similar here)
Day 5: BR sheath dress (buy similar here), AT pump (buy similar here)
Day 7: F21 linen short (buy here), Ann Taylor silk blouse (buy similar here), Target sandals (buy here)

The weather was aweful last week. On top of that, taking pictures at 7:00 in the morning was certainly a challenge. Since I wore the exact same dress and shoes, I thought I'd reuse one of my previous photos for outfit # 5. It was raining cats and dogs on Saturday. I decided to stay home, clean up the house and get things ready for little one's birthday this week. I was quite happy to stay in my pj's all day. Thus, there was no outfit photo for day 6. Unless you want to see me in my pj's :)  It was hard to only have this many items to work with so please bare with me. I look forward to remixing those same items next week.

Have a great week,
-Sydney-

Love all your outfits from this past week! Day 4 is my favorite -- great color choices and so chic! I have similar pieces so I may copy if I run out of outfit ideas towards the end ;)

Great job thus far! I admire anyone who is participating in this challenge, I don't think I could do it! I especially love the shorts in your day 7 outfit!

I think you did a great job. It gets easier. :) After doing the winter challenge, I actually thought it was a lot easier to have a shorter field of vision to my closet. Because when I was finally able to use all the items in my closet, I had to scratch my head and wonder (like so many times before) what in the world am I going to wear?!?

I love the Day 7 outfit. :)

Wow, Sydney! I'm impressed. How did pull off that many stylish (drool) outfits with 30x30? Great job! I would never be able to participate, because I'm just not that organized. :) Have fun for the rest of the 30x30.

I don't know which one is my most favorite because I like them all. You did great.

I know I won't be able to complete this challenge because I lack creativity and effort in remixing and planning.

You're doing such a great job with this! I love all of your outfits, but that blue dress has got to be my fave <3

I love the outfit recap! Hope you continue to do this for the remaining few weeks : ) It really gives us an idea of how you dress for everyday wear. My fave is the first - simple but I love the chambray with the camel.

@PetiteAsianGirl Yes, I will continue with this challenge :) I am sure you'll see a lot more of the chambray and camel combination in the remaining 3 weeks.

Beautiful first week of outfits! I still need to get my outfits 6-9 up tonight. I love 3 and 4. That maxi dress is also beyond stunning. As another shortie, I agree that they are near impossible to find for petites!
