Chopped!

..and I finally chopped my hair off (about 12 inches to be exact)! I usually go through this cycle every 2 years or so. I let my hair grow out till it gets really long, then I chop it off.

My head feels so much lighter now and it takes less time to get ready in the morning. On the other hand, I can't do much with my hair anymore. Bye bye, soft curls! Bye bye, sock bun! I won't see you for a while =)

It looks great! I wear my hair chopped all the time. I know it's not as versatile or fun to play with but you can still get some curl. And it takes so much less time in the morning, which I personally love. AND you'll be happy when it's 100F out ;). Great look for you!

Wow...you look great! Did you donate it? I've wanted to try the short hair style but my hair is verrrrry poofy, natural wavy, and unmanageable so that probably will never happen!

KayVee said...

Wow, looks really good! Did you donate it to locks of love? I chopped my hair off back in Aug and now it's grown to be below shoulder now.

@Tina, @kvinh I gave it to the salon. Not sure what they're going to do with it =)

Your hair looks fabulous!

I bet you could put some soft curls in your hair, your layers are long enough, and get a very trendy look!

You look great but I really liked your long hair!

Good for you! I feel like drastic haircuts are so hard for people, including me ;)

Syd, YOU ARE SO BRAVE. And lucky to be able to pull off this hairstyle gorgeously! If my hair was finer and straighter, I would really give a short bob serious thought. As is, I'll be living vicariously through you :)

Cute haircut! I also go through the same cycle of growing my hair and then chopping it all off. It's fun to change it up every once in awhile.

looks great on you! Do you mind share your salon name? I am in columbus area too!

@Anonymous Hi there! I don't mind at all. I went to City Cut Hair Salon (ask for Alan - he's been cutting my hair for years).

You cut your hair! I think the length looks great on you though - you look very professional. The length is perfect now too, since the weather is starting to get warm. I'd like to do something drastic and different to my hair too, but I think I would probably break out into tears if I chopped off my hair lol

Nice Haircut. If you are ever in New York look up JJScissorhand to do it for you. It will be the best Bob of your life. My Hair was past my hips and he gave me a chin length Bob that has never been duplicated. Can't wait to get back to NY. He has limited client openings but if your Hair is Superlong he will cut it for you. Your best chance at getting hm is probably through twitter. Good Luck.
