Gingham remix

I can't tell you how many times I've worn this gingham shirt since I bought it. It is such an easy piece to dress up or dress down. Gingham shirts are classic and versatile at the same time. There are so many ways to style a gingham shirt. You can pair it with a solid colored pencil skirt/trousers, layer it under a sweater, pair it with a dress. I can see myself pairing this shirt in the summer with shorts. The possibilities are endless.

White Denim Fix

I am one of those people who don't believe in the “No white before Memorial Day” rule. Personally, I think the rule is old and outdated. White denim has arrived as a year-round staple and is the perfect way to brighten up your wardrobe. Spring is the perfect season for white denim - keeping everything looking crisp and clean. Don't you agree?

What I am wearing:
Denim: GAP always skinny - size 24R (buy similar)
Sweater: J.Crew honeycomb cable sweater - size XXS
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Bag: J.Crew Tillary Tote in canvas
Necklace: c/o LYLIF

Spots and Dots

Spring has arrived and I have been seeing polka dots popping up everywhere. Polka dots have an undeniably youthful flair that can transform any outfit into a chic but fun style. This dress is my first polka dot piece but it certainly won't be the last. Although it's not the traditional polka dot, it still satisfies my polka dot craving at the moment. If pink isn't your color, this dress is available in black with white dots as well. I'd like to thank everyone who entered my giveaway so far. If you haven't, please click here to enter for a chance to win a pair of premium denim of your choice.

What I am wearing:
Dress: Dots dress with high waistband c/o OASAP - size S

Lunch break at H&M

Where I work is only 5 minutes away from the mall. It’s convenient but also dangerous at the same time. I typically go there 2-3 times a week at lunch just to look around. Today is one of those days. I didn’t find anything that I liked last week at H&M. Today, with the 20% off coupon in hand, I was hoping to find something there.

I love love love this skirt (couldn’t find it online for some reasons). The color is absolutely stunning in person. It’s a flattering knit pencil skirt in beautiful mint color ($24.95). Comes with a baby pink faux-leather belt. I am wearing a size small in this picture. The fit is perfect and I also am loving the length. However, it’s pretty sheer. It looks decent from the front but shows every lump and bump from the back. I'll spare you the details. I really wanted to take this skirt home with me but decided not to. Verdict: Passed.

Blue and Green

This was my first time trying the combination of blue and green and am loving the end result. Since this pleated dress was a bit big on top, pairing with a button-down shirt seems like the better way to go. Last week, I wore this outfit out shopping and running errands. A lady stopped me and said “oh, your skirt is so cute". I replied “Thank you, but it actually was a dress” =) The weather is horrible this weekend – rainy and cold. We're staying in and just chilling at home. What are you doing this weekend? P.S: I *just* joined Instagram. Follow me @ PetiteLG if you care.

What I am wearing:
Dress (wore as skirt): Be Bop pleated dress - size S
Shirt: J.Crew perfect shirt in gingham shirt - 00R
Sandals: Report via TJMaxx (buy similar)
Clutch: Zara leather clutch (buy similar)
Watch: Michael Kors 5128 in rose gold

Oldies

The last time I wore this pleated leopard skirt was last Fall. It was one of the items on my Fall wishlist but surprisingly, I haven’t reached for it very often. Everything in this outfit is old except my newly purchased Mary Jane’s shoes from Banana Republic. I scored them last weekend for a mere $14 (was $120). There were 3 pairs left on the shelf and one of them was my size. I was super excited! The heel is a little higher than what I typically wear but unexpectedly, very comfortable. This is my very first pair of Mary Jane’s shoes. They may be still available at your local stores. I know my outfit isn’t all that springy but it sure doesn't feel like spring (yet), either.

What I am wearing:
Skirt: Forever 21 - size XS (buy similar - available in petite)
Blouse: H&M - size 2 (buy similar)
Shoes: BR Natasha velvet mary jane ((almost identical))
Clutch: BR exotic leather clutch (buy similar)
