Saturday Hiking

The weather was insanely gorgeous yesterday so we decided to take a hike. It took a bit of work to get up to the top but the view was so worth it. The little one actually did better than me. Hiking is a great way to get away from crowds, noise and enjoy the peace of the natural surroundings. Perfect weather, great views and a good workout - a Saturday well spent with the family.

What I am wearing:
Jacket: H&M (buy similar here or here)
Sweater: Hollister *old* (buy similar here or here)

Hi Sydney! Good to see that you guys are having beautiful weather. I haven't hike in awhile and you're making me consider it. And you look very stylish in your hiking outfit! :D

I always find it difficult to look chic while hiking (live in Switzerland so lots of hiking!) but you make it look so effortless!

It seems like you get to hike nearby (assuming from all the houses I see in the background lol). Kind of jealous, I have to drive out an hour to find a place to hike so I haven't done so in a while. I enjoy it, but have difficulty keeping shush in the process, but love the views and fresh air afterwards, so rewarding. I like how you're still looking good while hiking and matching denim jackets with the little one! :)

@Petite Hues Thanks, Christine. This place is 40 minutes away from where we live. It's away from the city but still relatively close.

How are the shoes for hiking? I've been looking for some cute shoes that have enough support and traction for moderate hiking. When I wear tennis shoes I always end up slipping (especially on the way back down!)

How fun. This reminds me of the good old days when I used to do activities like this.

@Mlinh Funny you asked because I did slip once on the way back down. Tennis shoes are not ideal for hiking. I own these Timberland hiking boots but was too lazy to get them out of storage this time. They are not exactly cute but excellent for hiking. I bought them a years ago and they provide great support and. You can check out their site to see the current versions. Hope that helps!
