Vertical stripes

Black and white stripes are such a big trend right now. I am sure everyone has at least one striped top in their closet. I have plenty of horizontal stripes but have not yet ventured into the realm of vertical stripes. Hence, I am excited to add this vertical striped top to my wardrobe. Since the blouse is the statement piece, I decided to pair it with a neutral skirt. This was my attempt at pattern mixing - a crochet skirt with a striped top. Do you think it's too much?

What I am wearing:
Skirt: Ann Taylor *old* (buy similar)
Top: High-low vertical shirt c/o OASAP
Shoes: Ann Taylor Exotic Perfect Pump (same style in black)
Sunglasses: Kate Spade Gayla
Watch: Movado Serio

Not too much in pattern mixing at all since they are all neutral palettes. What an interesting detail at the bottom of the shirt when untucked.

yes, i have a million horizontal stripes and only 1 vertical stripe blouse that's very similar to one you're wearing from zara. =) and i have that skirt too. i think i even have the same at shoes except mine is a lighter animal print color. love your taste! =)

Darn I haven't even found the perfect horizontal striped shirt yet. I'm looking for a 3/4 sleeve but they all look so boxy on me.

ps. I think you have a little typo in the link :)

I don't see why stripes and lace can't pair together, and at least one striped top in my closet -- try 7.

I love how you ventured into mixing patterns/fabrics. I personally haven't purchased a vertical stripe....for some reason I've always gravitated towards the horizontal! I'll have to keep an eye out for a Vertical one soon.

I love your skirt! Such a classic piece to your wardrobe! :)
