Review: GAP Printed cami maxi dress in XS Regular

If there is one perfect piece to wear today, this dress would be it. From the patriotic print to the super comfy material, I am in love! I've been on the hunt for some casual maxi dresses and ended up getting two from GAP last week. Today only, you can take 25% off your purchase with code "GAPHAPPY". I can't believe it's been a year since my last clothing review. I don't buy much clothing these days. I only buy things that I truly love/need and not just for the sake of buying them but if I see something that worth mentioning, I will certainly review them on the blog.

What I am wearing:
Dress: GAP Printed cami maxi dress - size XS regular
Jacket: H&M (almost identical and available in petite sizes)
Watch: Michael Kors 5128 in rose gold

I am wearing a size XS regular in this post. Off the rack, the length was a tad long on my short frame (see here). It shrunk quite a bit after washing/drying. The length is now just right to wear with flat sandals. The elasticized waist also hits me right at my natural waist which is really nice. I appreciate the adjustable straps as you can customize the fit. This dress is made out of 55% cotton and 45% modal. The material is flowy and has a decent weight to it. Unfortunately, this particular dress is not available in petite sizes. I also picked up this luxe cami maxi dress in solid navy (see it on me). The fit is pretty much the same except the material, for some reason, feels a bit thinner. Overall, I only have good things to say about this dress and think it's a great summer staple.

Although the dress has a patriotic feel to it, red/white/blue is a classic combo and can be worn year round. Besides this dress, I also tried on this zigzag print ruched T-back maxi dress (see it on me). I had high hopes for this one but the armholes were huge in person. This splatter print strapless maxi dress was a total fail (see it on me). The proportions are all wrong and the material is really thin. I wish everyone a happy Fourth of July! My husband and I are heading to the outlet mall this morning then having a BBQ with the rest of the family later today. We might even try to catch some fireworks tonight. Be sure to follow me on Twitter or Instagram for fitting room updates. Enjoy your holiday and be safe!

Happy 4th, Sydney! This dress is lovely on you, especially with the jacket. So you found those tee's from that previous post at F21? I wonder if we have one of those around here. I'm still searching for my perfect white tee. Not easy! You left me a comment that I was going to reply to now, to but I don't remember what it was now. So tired!

Love this maxi and also the "luxe" one. Too bad the splatter paint didn't work out because the print was awesome! Hope you enjoyed your 4th! We stayed indoors much of the morning but then headed to fireworks at night.

Admirable dress style. I think it perfectly fit those tall girls. Though look petite, it is fashionable and can be charming even you go to coast places.
