It's been exactly one year since I last wore this dress. I bought it when I was 32 weeks pregnant. Without the belly, this dress looks like a potato sack on me. Thanks to Jean's tip, the belt nipped everything in and made it wearable. Since it's a straight-cut dress, there is more fabric to crunch in. It doesn't look nice and neat like Jean's dress. Although, I do not mind. I think it gives the outfit some casualness and doesn't make me look like I was trying so hard when I actually did =) Happy Friday, everyone (finally)!
What I am wearing:
Dress: H&M *old* (buy similar here or here)
Sunglasses: Prada oversized cat-eye sunglasses
Sandals: Express two-strap heeled sandals

Happy Friday Sydney! The print reminds me of the print on my Loft Romper, I love it. Jean's way of tucking it in with a belt has saved me so many times when I'm too lazy to perform alterations or bring it to the tailor, but it totally works and my friends never realize how much "effort" I actually put in.
So pretty! I can't believe you wore it when you were pregnant. It looks great now too.

I love the pattern of the dress. You could always get the dress taken in.

I really like that jacket! And your hair has grown so long since last year :-)
Hi Sydney, you are right about adding belt gives the dress a casual look. The jacket seals the deal. You look great in it.

this dress looks great on you and the belt really helps with the fit. love how you styled it with the cargo-like jacket to give it a more casual feel.
cute & little
You jacket is my favorite part of this outfit!
Such a cute print, love how you belted it!
Wow that belt really did wonders for that dress... who would think you wore it when you were preggers??

Cute!! I never thought about pairing a cargo jacket with an animal print - but after seeing this on you, I REALLY like the way it looks together! I like that you paired the outfit with heels to make for a perfect casual/chic/fun look. :) The best part is that you were able to cinch it with a belt as well and get some more wear out of it, you can't even tell that it would be super big on you!
