Petite Studio NYC :: Camel Top Coat

Even though this blog is no longer 100% devoted to petite fashion, I always appreciate when brands dedicate to such a specific market need. Petite Studio is all about catering to petite girls and providing thoughtful pieces that help them look their absolute best. I am honored to have a chance to review a piece from their gorgeous collection. While it was hard to narrow down favorites, the Montauk coat really stood out to me. The collection is full of pieces with streamlined silhouettes and modern details.

Let's talk about the coat! An oversized collar and relaxed fit give that effortless feel to this menswear-inspired coat. The fabric is a combination of polyester and elastance (where stretch is desired, idea for comfort and fit). Event though the jacket is only half-lined, it feels thick, sturdy and stretchy at the same time. I am wearing an XXS in this post and the fit is just right (not too fitted - not too baggy). The jacket sleeve ends at my wrist bone but I push up my sleeves most of the time. The measurements are as follow: sleeve length = 22", shoulder-to-shoulder = 14" and overall length = 33".

The jacket features one button closure and two flap close pockets. I really love the minimalist style of it. Camel is the perfect shade that goes with everything and looks good on everyone. The camel coat is a wardrobe staple that will never go out of style. I would like to point out that the Montauk is not a winter coat. It's the perfect transitional piece for in-between weather when it's cold enough for a jacket but not cold enough for your heavy winter coat.

If you're into blush pink, the Perry trench coat and the Bleecker bomber jacket are to die for. They're great for the upcoming Spring as well. Petite Studio donates 10% of profits to New York-focused charities and pursues volunteer activities in NYC with its employee base and network.

What a gorgeous coat! I bought a camel one last year and really got so much use out of it. Love how you styled it.

Hi Sydney! I love that it's oversized yet still has structure and doesn't overpowered your petite frame! You look absolutely beautiful as always! Have a blessed weekend!
