A few weeks ago, Soma reached out to see if I might be interested in speaking about their campaign with the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). Of course I said yes! In July 2010, Soma set out on a mission to make a different by collecting new and gently worn bras to donate to victims of domestic violence. Survivors often arrive at the shelters with little more than the clothes they're wearing and rely on donated items to get back on their feet. Bras are one of the most needed yet least donated clothing item for women. In partnership with NNEDV, the leading voice for survivors of domestic violence, and their 2,000 shelter programs across the United States, the bras collected are distributed to women in need in local communities. Soma is in the midst of their latest Bra Donation campaign. You can find more details and heartbreaking stories here.
