I meant to publish this post yesterday but I couldn't find time to finish my thoughts. I wanted to come on here to wish you a very Happy New Year. 2017 was probably one of the best years for me and our little family. As you may already know, I don't really share a whole lot when it comes to my personal life but today, I want to touch on a few aspects of my life. Outfit details: Lulu's dress *size XS* - this dress is so flattering and well made. Free shipping (today only). I highly recommend it. Would be a great option for the upcoming Valentine's day | YSL Kate clutch | Christian Louboutin new simple pumps | Lisi Learch earrings
Blogging: From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank you for your continued support especially those of you who read my blog on a regular basis. Even though the number of views has declined (and I am OK with it), I've gotten to know some of you on a personal level (you know who you are). I will continue to write and post. I hope you still find this blog somewhat interesting.
Personal life: People tend to talk about dreams/goals/accomplishments/resolutions at the beginning of a new year. I've never been the girl who dreams big. I know some people have big dreams and they work incredibly hard making those dreams a reality. I am a realist. While I don't dream big, I set goals. I have a list for everything (10 things I want to accomplish when I reach 40, 10 places on my travel bucket list, 10 bags I want to have in my collection..etc..) I work towards those lists and I get a great feeling of fulfillment when I cross those items off one by one. My lists are attainable and achievable. For example, pick out the top 10 destinations that I'd like to visit one day is more achievable than "I want to travel the world". Lists give me focus, help me prioritize and give me a great sense of accomplishment when I cross an item off the list. With that being said, I don't make New Year's resolutions. I am always working towards my "lifetime goal" list. A couple of things I'd like to accomplish this year are 1. Make a career change and 2. Run my very first half marathon.
Family life: The other day, someone messaged me saying "you and your family is my family goal". I didn't think much of it at first. I just thought she was being super nice. Then it didn't take me long to realize, you know what? The family I have now IS my ultimate goal in life. The girls are doing amazingly in school. Hubby traveled quite a bit less in 2017 and spent a lot more time at home with us. Mom and Dad are enjoying their retirement life to the fullest. We're a very close-knit family. We stick together through thick and thin. I don't know about you but it's my dream family and I wouldn't change it for the world.
The girls: My first one is in 7th grade and she will be taking college classes via Ohio's college credit plus program this summer. She is doing exceptionally well in school and I am so proud of her. We prepare ourselves for those teenager years but so far, it's been a breeze. Not saying she won't make our life a living hell once she reaches 13 but I am keeping my fingers crossed that she will forever be our sweet girl. The little one will be in 1st grade next year. She is a strong-willed child. She's constantly challenging us, testing our boundaries and she's got the mind of her own. If you have one of those at home (lol!), I highly recommend this book. Even though it's exhausted sometimes, I wouldn't change it for anything. I have always told my husband, this determined and strong-minded girl will do exceptionally well in life, we just have to get her there.
Career life: I've been with the current company for almost 9 years. I truly enjoy my job and the people who I work with. However, I think it's time for me to seek new opportunities and challenges. I don't know where I am going yet but it's one of the things I want to accomplish this year
2017 was an incredible year. I have so much to be thankful for and I know I have so much to look forward to in 2018. I hope 2018 brings happiness, joy, and success in everyone's life. 365 new days...365 new chances to live your life to the fullest. Thank you for letting me share. I am ready for you, 2018!

I really resonate with the strong willed child! Thanks for the book recommendation :) Even though my little one is barely one I can already tell she has a strong personality. Also I like the idea of lists that seem more realistic in achieving :) Have a great 2018!

Thanks for recommending the book. I have a little one whom I think is strong willed. Hopefully the book can shed some insight to the way she behaves. Happy New Year to you too. Keep up with the great posts.
