Ask me anything

MidiSummerDress_SydneysFashionDiary
Did you know I've been blogging for 9.5 years? It's so crazy to think that I am still here. Not sure how much longer I will keep this blog going but that's another discussion for another day. Whether you're a regular reader or not, you probably noticed that my blog is dedicated mainly to fashion and material things. I choose to keep my person life private and I choose to keep my children off social media. Internet is a wonderful yet a scary place at the same time. The fact is you can't please everyone. Some will agree with what you have to say, some will not. My Dad said something years ago and it always stuck with me. He said "if you don't want people to talk about you, then don't give them a reason to". However, I've been entertaining the idea of doing a birthday Q&A post. I know I have a small number of followers visiting this blog on a regular basis (thank you!). If you'd like to get to know me a bit better whether you're curious about my personal life, my family, my career or all of the above, leave me your question(s) below. I will do a Q&A post on my upcoming birthday. I may get one, two or no question. I am not sure but I'll give it a shot. You can also leave me a comment below to tell me more about yourself. I am genuinely wanted to know. I know I don't say it enough but I appreciate each and everyone of you for still sticking around. Outfit details: Old Navy dress *under $14* | Bamboo bag | Free People sunglasses | similar nude mules

I respect your privacy. But if you wanted to do a ten facts about you, that would be a nice read. I enjoy your blog and visit often! I appreciate the luxury and affordable things you post about. Such a nice mix.

Hi Sydney,

I just wanted to say that I've always enjoyed how real and grounded your blog has remained. As a working mother with a young baby, it's refreshing to see a working mom who blogs for her enjoyment (and not blogging to be an influencer/job) but is also candid about her high-end purchases/splurges.

Yes, I can definitely do that. Thanks for the suggestion

Jen, thank you for your kind words. To me, one of the most important things is to always stay true to myself and never try to be somebody that I am not. Glad this little space reflects that. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Sydney, I have been follow your blog 4-5 years. I don't even remember how I found you. By reading your blog and getting to know little about you, I think you are very independent, strong, and detail oriented woman. I love your beautiful house. My favorite thing to shop is anything related to home. Of course, I like handbags, fashions as well. My favorite thing to do is travel. I have two boys and locate in Boston. I love Boston except summer is way too short and winter is way too long. Thank you for sharing your lifestyle. I enjoy it a lot. Anything you like to share (at your comfort zone), we love to know.

Hi Sydney, it's Angela from Boston. I've been following you since around 2009 and just recently get to know you better. I respect your privacy and it's also nice to know some things about you. I know you said you had a career change the beginning of this year, maybe you can tell us some more about that and if you think you made a right move. As a stay at home mom, I know the sacrifices mom makes for the kids and sometimes I wonder myself if I should've taken another path. Thanks for letting us get to know you and I hope you have a great weekend.

Sandy, thank you for sharing a bit about you. You're so lucky to live in Boston. It's a beautiful city. I'll think of something about myself to share with you in my next post. I also plan do more home decor related posts in the near future. Keep an eye out for those if you're interested. Enjoy your weekend!

Since 2009? You're an OG follower. Thank you for your support all these years. I am so glad I got to know you a little bit via social media. Yes, I can certainly share some thoughts on my new job. I could never be a stay at home mom for many reasons but kudos to you for being one. I know it's a tough and challenging job. Enjoy your weekend with your loved ones. Talk soon =)

Follower since those petite challenge blogpost days! I know you work in tech (I am too in the Bay Area) and was curious how did you get into the industry and what is your role within your company. It's always nice to know another female in the industry where the industry is predominately male.

I've been following your blog for years! Very possibly also since the petite challenge days. I live in Toronto and work in publishing. I'm curious to learn more about your work life - how do you balance it with being a mom of young kids? How did you choose the career? How did you decide when it was time to switch companies or roles?

Hi J! Those are great questions! I will certainly address them in a future post. Thank you for your continued support.
