Gucci Mini Marmont Top Handle Bag :: How To Score A Brand-new Gucci Bag For Less

Happy Sunday, ladies! We had an insane busy week after coming back from Chicago. Courtney took off the next day to Washington DC with her school. My husband swamped with work, as per usual. We had the first cookout of the season with our amazing group of friends yesterday. It was! I am looking forward to a fun summer with the family. Today, I wanted to share my latest bag purchase - the Gucci mini Marmont top handle bag. I've been eyeing this bag for awhile and finally pulled the trigger. I love the fact that this bag is not as popular as the Marmont shoulder bag. I am a huge fan of top handle bags and this particular one is so darling. As we all know, Gucci bags never go on sale. However, there are a few ways that you can save a little bit on a brand-new Gucci bags.

1. Take advantage of no sales tax: If I purchase this bag on, it would cost me $2118 ($1980 + 7% sales tax). If I purchase the exact same bag on Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, I do not have to pay 7% tax. I'd save roughly $140.
2. Take advantage of a 10% off your first purchase: Some retailers offer 10% off  your first purchase. I know the discount code works on Gucci items at Farfetch and Bergdorf Goodman. I'd save about $200 using this method.
3. Take advantage of the foreign exchange: I use this method often depending on which item(s) I am looking to purchase. Oftentimes, you can change your region to other countries other than your current location. Since I am in the US, prices are usually cheaper in Euros or British pounds. You can do this on most international shopping sites like Net-a-Porter, Farfetch, Selfriges, Matches Fashion and more.  Take my purchase as an example: This bag is selling on for $1980 plus 7% tax ($2118.60). The price on Selfriges is  €1330 ($1625). One thing to keep in mind that you do have to pay customs duties ($147). When it's all been said and done, I paid $1800 for this bag. Buying it from the UK saved me $318! I hope you find this post helpful
