Happy Tuesday, everyone! Sharing the latest addition to my handbag collection - the Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis. If you've been following my handbag purchases, then you know I had this bag for a hot minute. It was a preowned bag. My first impression? I was underwhelmed by it considering how popular it was (is). I ended up returning it. A year later, I purchased the Coach Cassie as an alterative. I've been using the Cassie for quite some time and it works perfectly for my lifestyle. I also mentioned in that post that I find the strap was too stiff. If I remember correctly, the preowned bag was made in 2015. Since then, Louis Vuitton has made a few changes and released a newer version in 2019. Since I really love the functionalities of the bag, I decided to give it another try. This time, I purchased the bag directly from the Louis Vuitton website. The bag was made in the 2nd week of 2021. I was debating for the longest time if I should go with the classic monogram or the reserve monogram. At the end, I decided to stick with the classic. I always have a soft spot for the classic Louis Vuitton monogram. My first impression of the bag was definitely different this time. I love it. The strap is softer. The canvas is thicker but it's more matte than the previous version. Some people might see it as a con but I personally prefer it. Since the canvas looks more matte, the monogram print doesn't stand out as much. All in all, I am thrilled that this bag is back in my collection. This time, it's here to stay =)

All about the Teddy Blake Ava bag

Happy Monday, everyone! Today, I have an exciting handbag review for you. There is no secret that I love designer handbags. However, they come with a hefty price tag. We all know that spending thousands of dollars on a designer handbag is not always possible. However, you definitely do not have to spend that ridiculous amount of money for a well-made handbag. Exceptional quality and craftmanship contemporary handbags do exist. One of the brands that come to mind is Coach. A leather Coach bag is just as nice as a Louis Vuitton bag but for a fraction of the cost. Teddy Blake is also a great brand that worth looking into. I've reviewed quite a few Teddy Blake bags. Out of all the bags I've reviewed thus far, the Ava is my number one favorite. My opinions in this post still ring true. I still love the bag and wholeheartedly recommend it. The one that I reviewed in that post is the Ava 11". I rarely buy multiple versions of the same item but this bag is an exception. Since I love the bag so much, I wanted to own the 9" version as well as the tiny 6" version because why not?

First up is the 9" Ava in pink. Not generally a pink girl but I love this subtle shade of pink for Spring. The gorgeous pebbled leather gets me every time. While the 11" version is great for work, the 9" version is perfect for every day use. If you're on the petite side, the 9" version is the perfect size for you. It's not too big but not too small either. All Ava bags come with an adjustable shoulder bag which I appreciate. It's a great classic!

If you are into luxury bags, you might have noticed micro bags are becoming the trendiest accessory. Jacquemus is the brand that started it all. Even though I love the textured leather, I purposely chose the smooth leather to review. Just as expected, the smooth leather is just as gorgeous as the pebbled leather. The Ava 6" is absoluately adorable in person. Please keep in mind that it's tiny. It will not fit an iPhone. It will fit your cards, a lipstick and your key. Sure, micro bags are tiny but they're the perfect size if you're a minimalist. Also, I was thinking if you have a little girl, these coordinating handbags would be perfect for a mother-daughter duo. Out of 3 sizes, the 9" is my favorite. Whether I am dressed super casual or dressy, the Ava bag is the perfect accessory. It's classic, timeless and elegant!

Handbag Review :: Teddy Blake Sophia Bag

Did you know PurseBlog has created National Handbag day in 2012? For 2020, National Handbag day is this Saturday 10/10. In honor of this fun day, I have a handbag review for you. There is no secret that I love luxury handbags but I love a bag even more when it looks and feels expensive without the luxury price tag. I've worked with Teddy Blake many times throughout the years and I can't say enough good things about the brand. Today, I am reviewing the Sophia which is one of their newest styles. Fall is officially here and what better way to celebrate the new season than adding a gorgeous bag to your Fall wardrobe. The Sophia measures 6"(H) x 3"(W) x 9"(L), this bag is perfect for everyday use. It has room for all my daily essentials yet small enough to look fashionable without overwhelming my petite frame. What I love about Teddy Blake bags in general is that all their bags are made of premium Italian leather. This one is no exception. The Sophia is handcrafted with a combination of 100% genuine leather and genuine suede yet, somehow it's lightweight. The bag features gold-toned detailing, one interior side pocket and a flap with magnetic closure.

Gucci Ophidia iPhone Belt Bag Review

Sharing my latest handbag purchase - the Gucci Ophidia iPhone belt bag. The fanny bag trend is back again in a big way. I wasn't sure if I would be able to pull it off at first. This is one of the trends that it takes some serious style skills to pull off. I did try on several styles but they were all too big for my frame. The bag would take up my entire waist/body. They look ridiculous on me. While browsing, I noticed this iPhone belt bag from Gucci. As the name suggests, it's essentially a phone case. I stopped by my local Gucci boutique to take a look in person and I fell in love. Yes, it's small but it fits a lot and the size suits my petite frame. I am going over some pros and cons below if you're interested in getting this piece. This exact bag is available here, here, here and here.

Pros:
- The price is attractive: I know it's still a lot for a phone case but for a designer item, $750 is not so bad.
- 2 for the price of 1: The belt is removable. Essentially, you are paying for 2 items: a phone case and a belt. Each piece can be worn separately.
- Versatility: As mentioned above, the phone case can be used as a wallet or as a clutch for a night out. You can also purchase a separate strap and wear this as a wristlet. The possibilities are endless. The belt can also be worn by itself.
- Durability: Since this piece is made out of canvas, it's so durable, yet light-weight and low maintenance. It's perfect for travel, outdoor activities and sporting events.
- Fits all the essentials: Even though this piece is categorized as a phone case, it fits quite a bit. The case has 3 built-in card slots. Technically, you don't really need to carry a wallet with this. However, it fits my Louis Vuitton compact wallet with room to spare. On the left: I can fit a compact wallet, a key fob, a full-size lipstick and my iPhone 11. On the right: If you are not going to carry a wallet, you can fit a pair of sunglasses in there
- The Ophidia line is less popular: I don't necessarily want to carry the same bag that everyone else is going after. I am happy that the Ophidia line is less well known than the Marmont or the Dionysus. I know this leather belt bag or this Marmont belt bag or the Louis Vuitton bum bag are more popular.

Cons:
- It can be a bit tricky to decide what size to get depending on how you want to wear it. My Gucci belt is a size 75 and it’s perfect to wear with my high-rise and mid-rise jeans. For this particular piece, I wanted to be able to wear it as a waist bag as well as a crossbody bag. At the end, I went with a size 85. It's not perfect but doable. If I want to wear it with my mid-rise jeans, I use the shortest length. It would just be slightly loose wearing it with my high-rise jeans (I might punch an extra hole or wear my other Gucci belt). If I want to wear it crossbody, I'd use the longest length. Like I said, there isn't a perfect solution but there is a workaround. I am thinking about getting this strap to wear it as a crossbody. Today, I have a handbag review for you. You might recall I’ve done several handbag reviews for Teddy Blake in the past. I love all their handbags but the new Ava has to be my most favorite bag that I own so far from Teddy Blake. The quality was exceptional. Teddy Blake offers a wide variety of leather types but their pebbled leather is my favorite. I prefer pebbled leather for all my bags as it's extremely durable and requires less maintenance. The size is perfect for everyday use. Outfit details: Teddy Blake bag | Express pants | H&M sweater | Christian Louboutin shoes 

Features I love:
Adjustable shoulder strap: Being on 5’2”, the adjustable strap was one of my favorite features. It's allowing me to find my perfect setting. I love how it can go from a shoulder bag to a crossbody bag within seconds.
Back pocket for easy access: The back of the bag has a zippered pocket that is super convenient for accessing items you need on the go. It's big enough for your keys, parking tickets, money and more. Not to mention, the zipper is very well made and glides smoothly.
Magnetic closure: The front flap has a magnetic closure allowing you to open and close the bag with greater ease. The magnetic closure is strong enough that the bag can be worn without having to close it all the way. I kind of love the way it looks as well
Fully lined in suede: The suede lining inside adds an ultraluxe feel. This bag is the perfect size for everyday use. It feels very luxurious without a luxury price tag

I’ve had this bag for a few weeks now and I am still so in love with it. Some of my co-workers are checking out this bag as well. It is truly perfect for work and play. Today, I am sharing with you a way to save hundreds on brand new designer items. This method works every time! The amount of savings varies depending on the item but you're guaranteed to save at least a few hundreds.

Step 1: Go to Net-A-Porter.com and change the currency from USD (United States) to GBP (United Kingdom) as seen above
Step 2: Search for the item(s) that you'd like to purchase and add to cart. I am using the Saint Laurent College medium bag as an example. I do really love this bag
Step 3: As you can see, the cost of this bag is £1540 ~ $1947. This exact bag is selling for $2450 in the US. You are saving over $500 right off the bat!
Step 4: But wait!..the magic happens when you click on "Proceed to purchase". The price goes down further to £1411. When all is said and done, you'll save $662 on this particular bag. Since the exchange rate varies, the average amount of savings depends on the exchange rate for the day the item was purchased.

Sharing one of the things I got for Christmas today. Some of you might still remember, I talked about the Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis in the monogram canvas here. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me. However, I still love the silhouette of the bag and am open to finding something similar. While searching, I stumped upon the MCM Patricia bag. Even though this bag is made from a mixture of heavy coated canvas and leather, the shoulder strap is 100% leather. The strap of the Pochette Metis is made of canvas. It's so stiff and does not stay on my shoulder. It was a deal breaker for me. Besides the shoulder strap, the MCM Patricia has everything that the Pochette Metis has to offer (interior compartments for easy organization, the back pocket, the top handle along with a removable and adjustable shoulder strap). If you're not into logos, this bag is also available in full leather and in the gold-tone hardware. The size is perfect for my 5'2" frame. I also love the fact that this bag isn't popular. Sometimes, it's nice to own something a bit different and unique. The logo is subtle and the silhouette is classic and well-suited for everyday use.

Favorite Louis Vuitton print

Hope you're having a great week so far. Today, I have a fun post for you. I finally own 3 Louis Vuitton bags in 3 different prints. I am curious as to which print is your favorite and why? For me, I don't necessarily have a favorite print, I prefer different prints for different bags. Start off with my Speedy 25 Bandoulier, I chose Damier Ebene print because it's carefree. I wanted a low maintenance bag for travelling and DE is the way to go. Next is my beloved Palm Springs mini backpack. Between the monogram reverse and monogram, the latter is the obvious choice for me. I just don't like the look of the reversed monogram. I am so glad they decided to put black leather straps on this piece instead of vachetta leather straps like most of their monogram pieces. I don't know if I would buy this backpack if it wasn't for that. Since those 2 prints are dark prints, I went with Damier Azur for my Neverfull. This is the most high-maintenance print out of the 3. This bag is definitely a summer bag for me. The print is so clean and crisp. Because of that, it requires extra precautions to avoid color transfer. Handbag Review :: Teddy Blake Vanessa Tote

Happy Friday, ladies! It sure doesn't seem like a short work week to me. The kids are out of school and we're looking forward to a great summer. For this week's handbag chit chat, I am going to review this beautiful Teddy Blake Vanessa tote. I've worked with Teddy Blake in the past and am happy to review another of their bags just in case you're interested. This bag is not as popular as the Caty or the Eva so I hope you'll find this review helpful.

As you can tell, the Vanessa is very reminiscent of the Prada Cuir double tote (which I reviewed here). This bag is made out of textured calfskin leather. It's not as rigid as the signature Prada saffiano leather but still gives structure to the bag. I love the texture and feel of the leather. Not to mention, it smells amazing! Similar to the Prada Cuir, the Vanessa features 3 compartments (two open compartments and one middle compartment with zipper for security purposes). There are no pocket on the inside of the bag. Since it's a tote, there is not much organization. To keep my things organized, I use this purse insert and it works like a charm. There are pockets for my phone, my cosmetic pouch, my wallet and keys. I can use the other open compartment for files and folder.

Other features that I love:
- The interior is lined with real suede
- The bag comes with a 50" adjustable and removable shoulder strap
- The bag has 4 metal feet on the bottom for added protection
- It's a tad smaller than the Prada Cuir medium (which was one of the cons for me) but still very roomy

Let's talk about the color! The Vanessa is available in 7 different colors. I chose the beige because I wanted something neutral that I can wear to work everyday. This color literally goes with everything and anything. As you can see in the photo above, the color works well with both printed and solid pieces. Not to mention, this color can be worn any time of the year. If you don't want to spend $2800 on the Prada Cuir, the Vanessa is a fantastic option. I don't know about you but I am always nervous wearing an expensive handbag to work. Plus, my kids always throw their stuff on top of my bag when they're in the car. For under $500, this classic silhouette will never go out of style.

Happy Friday, ladies! Today, I am super excited to reveal my latest purchase - the Gucci Marmont super mini bag. To be completely honest with you, I didn't think I would own a Gucci bag. I know Gucci bags have been all the rage and their popularity continues to rise. I didn't jump on the bandwagon for several reasons: 1. I tend to splurge on classic handbags. Even though Gucci is so big right now, their bags are still very trendy. I have a hard time spending large amounts of $$ on a trendy handbag. 2. Everyone and their mother owns a Gucci bag. I understand you like that you like but seeing it everywhere kind of killed my interest. 3. I just don't need another flap bag in my closet. I am trying to build a diverse handbag collection

With that being said, I didn't think I would own a Gucci bag until this little beauty came into the picture. I thought about it for a month and decided to pull the trigger. I have this bag for 3 weeks now and I can't get enough of it. Like I mentioned above, I don't want to spend a lot on a trendy bag and this little bag is very well priced. This bag surprisingly fits all my essentials. Last but not least, it's super versatile. Watch the video to see how to wear this bag five different ways. Even though I always lean toward silver hardware, I love the antiqued gold hardware on this bag. This "dusty pink" is the prettiest shade of nude and it goes with practically everything. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase. Even though it's a trendy bag, it still has that classic look that won't go out of style for awhile. Handbag Review :: Armadio Costanzina Saddle Bag

Louis Vuitton Reveal

I am very excited to introduce the latest addition to my handbag collection - the Speedy 25 bandouliere in the Damier Ebene print. I do have quite a few bags but a carefree travel bag was missing in my collection. With that in mind, I purchased the Pochette Metis a few months ago but unfortunately, it didn't work out for me (read my thoughts here). After returning the Pochette Metis, I decided to go with the classic Speedy instead. I knew I wanted the smallest size (size 25cm) in the Damier Ebene print. The combination of canvas and treated leather is so carefree. The speedy was introduced in 1930. It's one of Louis Vuitton's most classic bags (besides the Neverfull). I went back and forth between the classic version and the bandouliere version (there is a big difference in price) but ultimately, I knew I would be so much happier with the bandouliere version. Adjustable shoulder straps make it so convenient for travel. You can find endless reviews of this particular bag on the web so I won't go into too much detail. It may not seem like an exciting purchase I am over the moon to have this beauty in my collection. Can't wait to take her on my next trip!

Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis vs. Saint Laurent Sunset

Today, I have a handbag comparison for you. As mentioned in this post, one of the disadvantages of the Saint Laurent Sunset bag is that it holds very little. Since the leather is so structured and rigid, the bag does not have much give. I love the style of the bag but could not fit all of the necessities. I thought about getting the Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis as a replacement. Even though I am not too keen on the all over monogram print, the bag is seriously growing on me. As you can tell, both bags are very similar in style. I was #86 on the waiting list at my local Louis Vuitton store. I found a pre-owned one in great condition and decided to pull the trigger. I was looking forward to see the bag but sadly, it did not do it for me.
