What I like:
• The Ponte knit material is super comfy to wear. It is thick enough that there is no show-through even without lining.
• The fit is wonderful. The arm holes are small so there is no need to worry about any bra showing. Measurements as follow: Shoulder to shoulder = 12.5 inches, length = 33 inches.
• The cut is feminine. This is a classic dress for every day wear. It’s easy to style with a blazer or cardigan for work.
• The dress was on sale at a decent price. Overall, it was a good buy.
What I don’t like:
• I am not a fan of the exposed zipper in the back. If you’re going to wear it with a blazer/cardigan then it’s not a big deal. I am just not too keen on that.
• The length is a bit short for my height. This is the reason why I am not going to keep this dress. I am 5’3” and I wish this dress was an inch or two longer. It would be perfect for someone who is a little shorter than me.
• I have a lot of black dresses in my closet. Therefore, I am looking into getting more colorful pieces.

I would totally buy it from you if I didn't already own a 0P Ann Taylor black sheath dress! I feel like this one would've fit me better than the one I own, and mine would've fit you better. It's too bad I already got mine shortened, or else we could've traded!

I was thinking about getting this during the sale, but I'm kinda glad I didn't in the end. I'm just shy of 5'3", so this would look too short on me as well if I wore heels with it. Thanks for the review!

I agree w/ your choice to sell. Although the fit is nice, I would like an extra bit of length for sure. The exposed zipper I like, but of course that's just personal preference.
I was just going to say this dress would be perfect for the next PFC, until I reached the end of your post :) Since you've got many other LBDs already, good decision on this one.
The fit does look nice on this dress and unlike most black garments, the details don't get lost in it - both pluses! That said, if you didn't truly love it, I'm glad you found someone to take it off your hands :)

for professional clothes, i don't prefer exposed zippers.
It's interesting that they put an exposed zipper on this dress. other than the zipper, I thought it looked pretty cute, but that's good that you sold the LBD.
