Something Burgundy

There is no secret that pencil skirts are a year-round staple in my wardrobe. When Sweet Velvet asked me to pick out an item to introduce to you guys, I was immediately drawn to this Grace pencil skirt. While it was big on Extra Petite, it fits me perfectly with no waist gap. This skirt not only fits me perfectly but the color is also very appropriate for Fall!

Sweet Velvet is currently having a really “sweet” promotion. For a limited time, take 60% off your entire purchase with code “SECRETSALE”. The regular price of the skirt is $65.00 but right now, you can snatch it up for only $26.00. The waist measures 24 inches and the length measures 17 inches (laying flat) for an XS. Material consists of 92% polyester and 8% rayon

Important note: If you're planning to get this skirt, please wash once before wearing in order to prevent any possible color residue.

What I am wearing:
Skirt: SV Grace pencil skirt - size XS (buy here - 60% off)
Blouse: Love 21 Silk Blouse - size XS (buy similar here or here)
Pump: Naturalizer - c/o Vicky (buy similar here - available in size 5)
Clutch: BR exotic leather clutch (buy similar here or here)
Pearl: J.Crew glass pearl necklace (buy longer length here - on sale!)

Since the skirt is made in stretch fabric, it doesn’t wrinkle after hours of wearing. I also adore those buttons on the side of the skirt. You can practically pair with skirt with just about anything. If you are conservative like me, pair it with neutrals for a classic look. If you're more adventurous, you can try bolder mixes, like golden mustard and hunter green. This skirt also works well with printed tops. The possibilities are endless!

Readers, what is your favorite color for Fall?

I been leaning more toward red this fall and it's unusual since red is not really my fav color at all. The skirt definitely appropriate for fall and even other season too!

How long is the skirt length wise?

Wow, the color of that skirt is beautiful! It's so lush and the buttons just really add to that whole look. You're right - I think it would honestly go with just about anything!

Wow! Sydney, you look very lovely here! The skirt is lovely, but I love the blouse as much as this skirt. Your beauty glows like the moon on a clear night's sky. Amazing!

I've been wanting a red pencil skirt for the longest now, but this burgundy skirt is a great alternative. I agree that the deeper color is perfect for fall. You look great in it! Love the button detailing on the side too :)

That is a gorgeous colour and it looks lovely on you Sydney! I would seriously consider getting it if I didn't feel so restricted wearing pencil skirts. Burgundy is one of my favourite colours for fall, as well as forest green (and don't forget mustard)! Fall is such a great season for all of these pretty, subdued hues!

Hope you're having a great week!

My fave fall color has to be mustard! I am loving everything mustard these days. Thank you for the pencil skirt look. I recently bought a purple pencil skirt from h&m and was not sure how to style, I think will do a similiar look like yours. Thanks for the inpsiration!
