A Casual Friday Outfit

I hope everyone is enjoying your holiday weekend. For the first time in years, I didn’t go shopping on Black Friday. After the crazy experience we had last year, we decided it just wasn't worth it. Also, my sister just got a part-time job while finishing up college so she had to work on BF. I hope you scored some great deals.

Just a quick post today to share with you an outfit I wore last Friday. Both pieces were my recent purchases. The Gap lightweight corduroy leggings fit me perfectly with no alterations. They’re super comfy and I love the color. It’s a nice little pop of color to Fall browns and blacks. As for the blouse, it was a tad wide and boxy on me but doable. I believe this blouse is currently on sale in store for $14.99.

What I am wearing:
: GAP contrast piping houndstooth blouse - XS
Leggings: GAP lightweight corduroy leggings - 24/00R
Shoes: Ann Taylor perfect leather pump
Belt: Ann Taylor perfect skinny belt - XS
Pearl: J.Crew glass pearl (buy longer length)
Watch: Michael Kors 5128 in rose gold

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  1. Your aubergine Gap leggings were a "recent purchase"? How recent? Because they were sold out like EVERYWHERE six weeks ago. I only got it because ShortieK sold hers! Lucky you! :)

  2. I love your casual outfits! Those cords fit you perfectly. Lovee

  3. You look adorable...those cords are great on you!

  4. These fit you perfectly Sydney! They look really nice on you. They elongate your already long legs:)

  5. That Gap legging looks so good on you!

  6. Those leggings fit you so nicely! I love that color you chose, too! Reminds me of something Kelly would like, too! I agree with Annie...these make your legs look great!

Glad Friday was relaxing! My husband had to work that day, too! :( I stayed home and cleaned the house. :)

  7. I am in love with the leggings!!

  8. love the casual outfit, Sydney! i hope how those pants fit you and the belt is a perfect match. i did go shopping at the mall. it was madness and the deals were just okay. i bought a few items bc they were "on sale". now i'm having second thoughts. lol

  9. I am also a huge fan of the cord leggings; they look so modern and chic on you. :)

  10. @CynthiaC Cynthia, I got these pants last weekend. I am lucky that my local store always has small sizes in stock =)

  11. I visited Gap on Thursday before the madness began but couldn't find cord skinnies that fit me in a color I like. Is there much difference between size 24 and 25? I tried on both and was surprised to see it fit me as I would have instinctlvely grabbed size 27. I did, however, find that blouse in the darker peachy-taupe for the same price in Canada.

  12. @Canadianpetite There isn't much difference between size 24 and size 25. However, GAP jeans tend to stretch out over time. I would stick with the smaller size =)

  13. I love these pants on you Syd! beautiful color.

I also saw this shirt in the purple version, but slightly too big for me. thanks again for sharing that link to get $5 off @ GAP.

  14. Just saw your tweet on these awesome leggings. Can't believe they are only $6-$12, must check them out. Although I have pretty stubby legs, not sure if it would look good on me.

Twins on the blouse, I bought all 3 colors - white, beige, purple. I think it came out to $11 for me since I had a coupon but great deal for the the both of us nonetheless!
