Casual & Cozy
I hope you had a wonderful New Year celebration. Unfortunately, I welcome 2012 with a terrible cold. I couldn't get up on NYE so we spent the night in our own home. There is no better way to end the year than popping a bottle of champagne by the fire place and making a toast with two of my favorite people in the world.

A Casual Friday Outfit
I hope everyone is enjoying your holiday weekend. For the first time in years, I didn’t go shopping on Black Friday. After the crazy experience we had last year, we decided it just wasn't worth it. Also, my sister just got a part-time job while finishing up college so she had to work on BF. I hope you scored some great deals.

Get 40% off + an additional $5.00 discount at GAP
I did mange to stop by the mall this weekend to use my coupon. I picked up the GAP lightweight corduroy leggings in both justice blue and aubergine. Yesterday, they were 60% off. I got an additional $5.00 off my purchase with this coupon. After both discounts, the price dropped to around $21.00 per pair (was $59.95). Not too bad, right?

Today, you can take 40% off your entire purchase plus an additional $5.00. The price is still pretty decent. I am almost positive that you don't have to have this coupon with you. As long as you're going to use your Gap/BR/ON card to pay, the SA will honor the discount. The measurements are as follow if you're interested (for a 24/00 regular): waist = 13", length = 37". For some reasons, they fit much better than the last ones I tried.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. I can't believe Thanksgiving is just a few days away. Any plans for Black Friday shopping =)?

Fall Wish-list Item # 7: Rust colored blazer
I have always loved blazers and always will. Blazers are a classic staple in any women's wardrobe. They can instantly define your look and add sophistication to any ensemble. A year ago, I could count my blazers on one hand and they only existed in the color black and gray. I have been loving colored blazers and itching to wear this Gap blazer that I purchased last month. The weather is getting a bit warmer this week. It’s the perfect time to take it out for a spin. For this outfit, I wanted to highlight the blazer so I kept the rest of the look in neutral shades. I hope you enjoy this outfit. Don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour and enjoy the extra sleep!

What I am wearing:
Blazer: Gap point-lapel blazer - size 0
Lace tee: A&F girl - size L (buy similar)
Short: Club Monaco - size 0 (buy similar - available in 00)
Booties: Steve Madden (buy similar)
Necklace: c/o Stella & Dot
Ring: Forever21 (buy similar)

Fitting Room Review: Great deals on GAP jeans
After Jean posted a fantasic deal on the Gap legging jeans this morning, I had to stop by the mall to check them out. I did find some pretty sweet deals that I'd like to share with you guys. Every single pair fits me with no waist gap. Unfortunately, the length runs a little long for me. I walked out the store with 3 pairs of jeans for $35.00. Please note all sales are final. If you need to order them online, check out Jean's post on tips how to score these jeans for $24.48 (was $69.50) with free shipping.

Closet remix: 04.06.2011
I am so ready for Spring. The weather is still a little chilly in Ohio but it is getting warmer every day. I’ve bought a few pieces for Spring and can’t wait to wear them. While browsing J.Crew store at the mall last month (I am not sure why I do that since they do not carry petite sizes in store), I spotted the J.Crew cotton bell skirt in a 00. I am pretty sure this was a return. I brought it home with me “just to try”.
I’ve seen the wool version of this skirt on many petites and the cotton version on Vicky of Vicky’s Daily Fashion. I have mix feelings about this skirt. I like the fact that it is different than a typical pencil skirt. Also, I am still on the hunt for a casual skirt after my failed attempt at Gap. I also like the way it fits on me. The elastic waist helps a lot. The length is also great for me. A 00P would have been too short on me. Continue reading..

Review: My latest GAP purchase
I have been keeping an eye on the Gap legging jeans for a while. When I saw the medium faded wash was on sale for $24.99 last week, I couldn’t help myself. I ordered 2 of the exact same pair in a 00R – one for myself and the other for my sister. I also added the Gap floral pleated skirt as a filler for free shipping. I am going to start with the skirt first. Although I enjoy wearing my pencil skirt every day to work, I am on the hunt for something different. This skirt looks versatile on the model. I was sold by the black and white print. This is how it looks on me:

Looks pretty good right? Not really. This skirt is at least an inch bigger than my natural waist. I am wearing a size 00 in this post (buy it here). I like my pants and skirts to be anchored at my true waist. Continue reading...

My (almost) free Gap purchase
I am sorry for not staying active lately. One of my New Year’s resolutions is spending more time with my family. That’s exactly what I am doing. Although I still enjoy reading all my favorite blogs. I am very excited to share with you guys an amazing deal that I was lucky to catch today. After work, I had a bit of time to kill before my workout class starts so I stopped by the mall on the way home. Gap is having additional 50% off sale items. Weekend outfit: Featuring Colehaan Petra Tall Boots
This outfit represents what I typically wear on the weekend. My go-to weekend outfit is usually a pair of skinny jeans tucked into boots and some sort of sweaters. I wear high heels 5 days a week. Therefore, on the weekend, I try to give my feet a break and only wear flats. If you follow my blog, you probably remember my midnight madness experience. I went shopping at mid-night on Thanksgiving to pick up a pair of riding boots that I have been eyeing for a while. Here they are, the Colehaan Petra Tall Boots. Continue reading...
