It's been three years....

It's been 3 years since I've started this blog. For the most part, I still enjoy blogging. Although, can’t say I am as excited as I was 3 years ago. This past 3 years, I've learned a lot about my personal style and how to dress for my body. Blogging certainly becomes a part of my daily routine. I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your continued support during the past 3 years. Your readership is appreciated.

I wrote a post about making plans for our lives on October 2010. Fast forward 2.5 years later, we are pleased to cross another item off our list and that is finding our “dream” home. It's not a million dollar home by any means but it’s everything we wanted to be. Last weekend, we've packed our belongings, said goodbye to neighbors and moved to a 2-bedroom apartment while waiting for the new house to be built. Downsizing from a 4-bedroom home to a 2-bedroom apartment was definitely a challenge. I had to downsize my wardrobe from 2 closets to 2 cardboard boxes and that is everything I have for the next 5 months =) The rest of it goes to the storage for the time being. On the flip side, a small wardrobe hopefully will force me to be more creative with combinations. Over the next few months the blog will be very sporadic so please bear with me.

With all that said, my Mother’s Day weekend consisted of hauling boxes, unpacking and cleaning for the most part. I had no time for myself but to me, everyday is Mother's Day when I am with my kids. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend full of love and laughter.

What a big change, from 4 bedroom house to 2 bedroom apt. I hope the new house is finished on-time and you can enjoy it very soon. Good luck with all the moves and changes and I'll be still following along! :D

Congrats on the new home, Sydney! I think most people would kill to find their dream home for under a million ;) I was just thinking of all the work you guys put into baby M's nursery, but it'll be fun to re-decorate. Are you guys going with pre-drawn floor plans from builders or customizing everything? I've been browsing the Home Decor section on Pinterest and there are so many little nooks and crannies that I wish builders would add.

So happy for you and your family, Sydney! I loved that post you did on your life goal/plans and congrats on crossing a big one off. Even though you post sporadically now, I always enjoy seeing what you're up to / sewing/ wearing and I hope you and the girls have been well.

PS - Had to smile at the idea of your downsizing, as a cozy 2 bed home in Boston is my "goal" for when I'm living with child!

Love the "every day is Mother's Day" part, I totally agree! The best gifts are our children and I treasure every single moment with them :)

Congrats on the new house! So very exciting!

Congrats! Even though these types of posts are not fashion related, I do love them. They are a great reminder of the importance of goals and makes me think about my own goals and where I'm headed or want from life. Thank you.

@Anonymous Glad you enjoyed the post. I try to incorporate variety into this blog since my outfit posts are not always blog-worthy =)

thats so exciting to be moving into your dream home! the living out of cardboard boxes thing doesn't seem so fun, but anything is doable if its only temporary (and it will totally be worth it!). i wonder if i'll still be blogging when i buy a home in 5-10 years? its fun to look at old posts and how life changes

Wow congrats on your new home. I cannot imagine having to downsize a closet for few months. But the good thing is, it is only temporary and you will be moving to a bigger closet space. Moving is not fun I can say because we moved few times already, good luck Sydney !
