A birthday well spent

TGIF! It's been a crazy busy week for us. My husband just came back from another business trip at 1:00 a.m this morning. I am so overwhelmed this week that I had to take a half day off yesterday to get some stuff done. Our little angel is turning 6 tomorrow! Where did the time go? My in-laws will be in town this weekend for her birthday party. I've been running around all week trying to get things done. Speaking of birthday, I am sharing a recap of my birthday. I seriously had the best day and feel so loved. We planned to go to NY that weekend so I didn't really have any plans for my actual birthday. My husband took a day off as well. We spent the day together while the girls were at school. We did some shopping and had lunch together. I then went in for my microneeding appointment (if you're interested in hearing about my experience, let me know). I came home and took a nap! Can't even remember the last time I took a nap. The girls came back from school, I made them dinner, spent a bit of time with them before heading out for my birthday dinner at 8:00 p.m. We came home around 1:00 a.m and I could not have asked for a better birthday.

What I got for my birthday:
- After spending an embarrassing amount on my dream watch, I didn't expect anything else from anyone but once again, friends and family spoiled me. We walked into the Gucci store and I casually asked if they have this belt in a size 75. I was shocked to hear they had it in stock! They rarely carry small sizes in stores. It must be fate! I mentioned previously that I have tried the popular 1.5" version and it was way too big on me. The 0.5" version was too small. This one inch version is absolutely perfect. If you're thinking about getting your first designer belt, I would recommend you go with the classic black and gold combination. Since I already own a black belt with gold buckle, I opted for the dark brown and gold instead.
- My girls got me the Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede candle! Luxury candles are one of the things that I absolutely love but can't always pull the trigger. $70 for a candle is excessive, I know but I love this so so much
- My father in law got me a gift card. Bless his heart. I will put it to good use =)
- A friend of mine got me this beautiful orchid. I put it in our bedroom and just love the way it looks
- Family and friends also took me out for a wonderful dinner. It was indeed a very expensive dinner. I felt really bad when I saw the bill. I owe them big time.

Sometimes, I wonder how I got to be so lucky. I am living the life that I have always wanted and I am forever grateful for that. I love these girls. They teach me how to be kind, be humble and most importantly, how to laugh at myself. My birthday well spent because of these amazing people. Below is a short clip of my birthday dinner. I couldn't swipe that smile off my face =)
