First post of 2019

I hope everyone had a great winter break. My kids are going back to school on Monday. It's been a wonderful break for us. We got to spend a lot of quality time together. Today, I am sharing an outfit I wore on New Year's Day. My husband and I did go out early on NYE for a few drinks (just the two of us). We took this opportunity to talk about our goals/plans for 2019. If you have kids, you know it's hard to have an uninterrupted conversation with your spouse sometimes. After a few drinks, we came home and watched the ball drop with the kids. Dressing up for a fancy dinner on New Year's Eve is getting old so this year we decided to go out for a casual lunch with some of our close friends instead. We had so much fun catching up. After lunch, we went home to watch the Rose Bowl while our friends headed to the casino to try their luck. Around 7:00 pm, I changed to my workout clothes and was going to make the first run of 2019. A friend called and told us "we won big, let's go out for dinner, it's on us" lol. We went out to grab dinner again (in my work out clothes). We had such a fun and heartwarming dinner. It's a wonderful start to the New Year. I feel good about our goals, our decisions and overall, where we are in life. I don't know what it is but for some reason, I have a feeling that 2019 is going to be amazing and I am excited for what is to come. I found this dress on clearance for $10 and I love it. It's so comfortable and perfect for the occasion aka stuff my face with large amounts of food (as seen below).
