Petite Fashion Challenge # 11: Vacation Vogue

I am personally excited for this month’s PFC. My family and I are going on vacation soon and this challenge couldn't have come at a better time. This month, Ski Petite asked us to:

Put together an outfit made for sightseeing. It should be one that will be comfortable for walking around in and can last you from the early morning until dinner and drinks in the evening. Plus, you're on vacation, so you'd better make sure you look good in photos, which you'll have for years to come. You can choose just one outfit but vary it by adding or taking off layers or accessories to take you from the a.m. to the p.m. and make one outfit easier to last through the day
…so for this challenge, I am making this simple pleated dress work for both day and night. The easiest way create a day-to-night look is by playing with your accessories

For my day look:
- Paired this dress with sandals for extra comfort
- Simple necklace added the perfect touch to my casual look
- Carried an oversized bag for storage
- What I am wearing: Dress: c/o Velvet (buy similar - available in size 0) |  Necklace: c/o Kate and Soo (buy here) | Sandals: LOFT (buy similar) | Purse: Bebe patchwork (buy similar)

For my night look:
- Paired up a black blazer for a dressier look
- Swapped my sandals for a pair of black pumps
- Put on a statement necklace for extra oomph
- Added a small clutch to keep my phone and lipstick in during the evening
- What I am wearing: Blazer: gifted from a friend (buy similar - available in 00) | Pumps: Ann Taylor perfect leather pump (buy here) | Necklace: Lia Sophia (buy similar) | Clutch: BR exotic leather clutch (buy similar)

As you can see, it takes no time at all to transform your look from “day” to “night”. If you’re interested in seeing more “day-to-night” looks, head over here to check them out. Thanks, Ski Petite for hosting this month’s challenge.

Way to rock the pleated dress Sydney! It looks amazing and the blazer really does "dress" it up! =)

Those shoes would so not work as a tourist in a big city with a lot of walking. But you look great!

@deelirium It's hard to see in the pictures but these sandals have cushion padding for extra support. They are quite comfortable for walking =)

I love that necklace in your nighttime outfit - a statement for sure, but it doesn't overwhelm your frame in the least. Great challenge response!!

What a great transition. I love the color of that dress. All the accessories you've used are so pretty. I always have a tough time packing for vaca as I tend to overpack and then end up not wearing what I bring. Will have to look into pairings so I can wear one outfit twice like you've done here. Thanks for sharing.
