The Petite Shop - Level 99 Petite Linen Trouser

Today I will be reviewing another item from The Petite Shop. When Elizabeth offered to send over these linen pants for me to review, I was skeptical. First of all, I always have a hard time finding dress pants that fit well in the waist and hip area. Second of all, linen pants = crazy wrinkles. Lastly, the salmon color is a bit out of my comfort zone. The good news is - as soon as I put these on, all my worries went away.

What I am wearing:
Bottom: Level 99 Petite Linen Trouser - size 24P (available in 4 colors)
Top: Tobi *old* (buy similar here or here)
Purse: Chanel Jumbo Flap (buy similar here or here)
Bracelet: Amrita Singh (buy similar here)
Sunglasses: Kate Spade Gayla

I have always been a fan of trousers. The flare at the bottom of the trouser help elongate the leg. Petite women in particular can benefit as well since trousers create the appearance of a longer lower half. The light linen material drapes beautifully and moves with my body. Even though they are not lined, the material feels substantial and offers 100% coverage. Since these trousers flare out at the bottom, I decided to pair them with a close-fitting tops to balance the shape of the outfit. The size 24P in these pants fit me perfectly throughout the waist and hips.

For reference, I'm about 5’2 tall and right under 100 lbs. It has been extremely difficult to find pants that fit in both the waist, hips and length without tailoring. The waist measurement for a size 24P is 12.75” across the back, 7.75" rise and 10.5" leg opening. This is versus the line's regular pattern, which has a 32.5" inseam and 9" rise. As you can see, the measurement for the waist is really tiny. My ideal measurements for skinny jeans are 25” waist and 29” inseam. The measurements for these pants are technically ideal for me when worn with heels. Dare I say these pants are hands down the best fitting pants I've ever tried on. Linen pants are the perfect choice for summer when you want to wear something light but don't want to wear shorts or a skirt. They can be worn on the weekends, in the office or even on the beach.

The color can be a bit tricky to pull off. You can pair these pants with any neutral color such as white, beige or black like I did here to tone down the look. If you’re adventurous and bold, you can certainly pair them with a bright color top to create a color-blocking outfit. Since they’re solid-color pants, you can incorporate some patterns and prints as well. Have fun and be creative! I can’t say enough good things about these pants. If you’re in the market for some fun summer pants, definitely check these out. Stay tuned for one more look from The Petite Shop later this week.

So glad you love them, weeeee! We do have them in Teal, Emerald and classic Black for those not quite ready to step out of their comfort zone like Sydney did :).

Liking the pants. ANd I'm sure your review should help other petite girls very much. I'm not petite - and can't believe you are still under 100 lbs after kids - but I'm drawing some style inspiration from your wide-legged pants. They look good on you.

Love the straight leg with a bit of flare. The color is divine! And the fit is perfect. Tks for reviewing another great item from The Petite Shop. I'd love a pair of linen colored pants since skinny jeans just aren't right for me.

You've styled the trousers just perfectly.

These pants are perfection on you! I'm with you on linen wrinkling, but I'd deal with it if I got to wear these :)

This is so cute! I would never think to pair peplum with wide trousers! They look great and give the illusion of being curvy!

Matching of black and red is the eternally classic color that makes one comfortable, just like shown in the photo. I like the overall matching as well as you bold black sunglasses which expresses a sense of vigority and energetic lifestyle.
