Target x Victoria Beckham

I stopped by Target yesterday to pick up a few things for the girls and am surprised to see quite a few pieces from the Target x Victoria Beckham collection are still available in stores. The collection launched over 2 weeks ago (4/9). Some items have already sold out online. I grabbed a handful of items to try and below are my thoughts:

  • Every single piece from this collection runs extremely big. Most things I tried on were shapless on me.
  • I am very impressed with the quality. They look more expensive than they're actually are
  • Prices are more affordable compare to some of the past collaborations
  • The designs might not be everyone's cup of tea but at the end of the day, it's Victoria Beckham we're talking about

2. Orange one-shoulder dress *size XS*
3. Mint green lace short *size 0*
4. English floral dress *size XS*
5. Black and white dress *size XS*

I am disappointed that none has worked out perfectly for me. I walked out with these lace shorts. They're so beautiful for spring and summer. I do have to spend a little extra on alterations but at $28, I think it's worth it. I still think the whole collection is beautiful but unfortunately, sizing does not work for me.

Review: Target's Merona Milena Suede Wedges (plus 20% off)

I’ve been looking for something in-between flats and heels for everyday workwear during the cold months. I absolute adore the J.Crew Martina suede wedges but am not sure if it's worth the price. Luckily, I stumbled upon these Target Milena suede wedges and felt in love immediately. My first impression was they’re pretty much identical (even their names sound similar). Now through Jan 28th, take 20% off purchase of $75 or more on Women's, Men's and Kid's clothing, shoes and accessories (including sale styles).

Shorts in Winter

Hope you're having a great Monday. I will be spending my week finishing up training courses that are required for work. It's only day one and my brain is already fried. Please keep your fingers crossed that I will pass all 5 exams by the end of this week.

Flannel and Tweed

Yesterday, I wore 2 of my newly purchased items - the Mossimo plaid shirt and the Ann Taylor chunky linear knit tweed jacket. I can't tell you know much I love this flannel shirt. It's cozy, it's soft and it fits me like a glove. The XS is almost too small for me. I have to be careful and not to keep it in the dryer for a long time. I am going back to Target today to get the ebony plaid one before the deal expires. If you're looking for a flannel shirt to layer for winter warmth, I highly recommend this shirt. It is available in 12 different colors so there's certainly something for everyone.

My Target Haul

Even though winter is in full swing, retailers are starting to clear out their winter stuff to make room for spring arrivals. Target is having a winter clearance sale where you can save up to 70% off. I wanted to share my order that I placed a few days ago.

I've been on the look out for a leather jacket. I wanted a cropped moto-style leather jacket in brown and probably under $200. I've tried on a couple of Kenna-T leather jackets at Nordstrom but they were too big on me. Since leather jacket isn't really my style, I thought it would be OK to get a faux one and have fun with it for a season or two. This side-zip moto jacket caught my eyes while browsing Target's site the other day. It has great reviews online so let's hope it work out.

Missoni for Target vs. Forever 21

The Missoni for Target line has hit stores and online 2 days ago. It certainly has created a shopping frenzy. Target site was down for more than 8 hours. I don't really understand all the hype. It got me curious that I had to stop by my local Target to check it out. I have no intentions whatsoever to purchase any of the items from this collection. The zigzag pattern makes me dizzy and it is totally not my style. I was thinking about picking up a cardigan and a pair of ballet flats for my little girl. At the end, I decided not to because the quality is just nothing more than typical Target clothes. Blouses are made from 100% polyester and sweaters are super thin. The ballet flats that I was eyeing for my little one have no support at all.

Tucker for Target

Tucker for Target collection by designer Gaby Basora has hit the stores and Target.com today. I was up this morning at 8:00 o'clock and wanting to go to Target. I have never waked up before 9:00 on Sunday morning. I try to sleep in as much as I could on the weekend. Since I missed the sale on Gilt.com few weeks ago, I was anxious to see what they have in stores. I went to the closest Target and as soon as I walked in, there are racks of Tucker for Target. I was extremely excited and took every XS I can find to the fitting room with me. Below is what I ended up with.
