It's that awkward time of the year when everyone is talking about Fall fashion but it's still pretty warm out. Why not incorporate Fall pieces into your summer look? Take this outfit as an example, I love my denim cutoffs so much and refuse to put them away for the season. However, you can pair your favorite summer shorts with a lightweight sweater for added warmth if necessary. This sweater is as comfy and soft as it looks. Another hits & misses post today featuring a couple of items I received from Romwe. First up is this floral shift dress. I fell in love with the floral print. The pattern is even more vibrant in person and it is so perfect for Spring/Summer. However, I don't love the fit. It was completely shapeless on me when I pulled it out of the packaging. I was able to make it work by wearing the matching belt. I wore it a few times to work and got many compliments but if you're looking for a better fitting dress, I don't recommend this dress. Sorry for my lack of posting this week. My husband and I just came back from our mini vacation in the beautiful Alaska. I will share our vacation recap next week. What to wear on Memorial Day weekend

Memorial Day weekend is almost here. Today, I am showing you 2 easy outfit ideas that are perfect for the occasion, whether you’re planning an outdoor picnic, hitting up the beach or just simply spending time with your family. Gingham is always a classic for spring and summer. I love a good playful print. These dresses are adorable and trendy but the quality is nothing to write home about (both are unlined). In case you haven't noticed, off the shoulder dresses are everywhere this season. I will probably wear this more as a cover up than a dress when the weather heats up. If you're looking for something that will last more than a season, I would not recommend either one. My favorite thing to wear this time of the year is a long sleeved dress. I can omit the jacket when it's in the 60's and long-sleeve dresses do a good job at keeping me warm. This medium weight sweatshirt material is very soft and comfy to wear. I love how easy and effortless this dress is. I washed it a few times and the dress has held up pretty well. On the other side of the spectrum, the blouse below is unwearable in person. The fabric is quite see through and I am not pleased with the fit. Sharing a few misses that I've received recently. The first one is this SheIn cold-shoulder sweater. It's the exact dupe of this Free People sweater. Blush Pink Lace Dress :: Hits & Misses # 17

Have you heard Rose Quartz and Serenity are chosen as the Pantone color of the year? I am not a pink girl in general but the blush pink color is growing on me. There is something about the color that is just so feminine. Being a huge fan of anything lace, this gorgeous pale pink lace dress is right up my alley. The smallest size available was a medium. I took a chance and ordered it. As expected, it was a tad big. I threw the dress in the washer then dried on high heat for 30 minutes. Luckily, the dress shrunk down almost an entire size and now fits me perfectly. I adore the back of the dress! It's fully lined and the craftsmanship was very well put together. It's also available in the classic black. It has been so warm in the Midwest and I am trying to go bare legged as long as I can =)

The holidays are right around the corner and it's never too early to start planning your holiday outfits. I don't have that many formal occasions to wear fancy clothes so this skirt is the perfect holiday piece for my lifestyle. I love it for several reasons: the skirt is fulled lined, the length is ideal for someone my height, I love the unique pattern/fabric and of course the color is to die for. If you're looking to add a pretty skirt to your holiday wardrobe, I'd recommend you check this one out.

Burgundy Full Skirt :: Hits & Misses # 15

Plaid Cocoon Coat :: Hits & Misses # 14

Let's cut to the chase - I love this cocoon coat. It's another hit from my last Romwe order (the first one was this scarf). I love the oversized silhouette. It gives the whole ensemble a laid back and effortless vibe. For less than $50, it's an excellent piece. The coat is fully lined and feels substantial. I am wearing a size M here and the fit was spot on (even the sleeve length). Although, I like to roll the sleeves up a bit to show the lining then push them up slightly. I've been wearing this jacket a ton last month. If I have to nitpick, they could have done a better job aligning the pattern in the back. However it doesn't bother me so much. Overall, I still think it's a great item and will continue to rock this coat this season.

I only picked out 2 items from SheIn this time but thankfully both of them are love (see the first item here). Can you tell I have a thing for plaid? I love this skirt for Fall. It was made out of heavy faux suede fabric. Because of that it has a good weight and drapes beautifully. It's a myth that petite girls can't pull off midi skirts. The trick here is to keep your upper half fitted to help balancing out the prim factor of a midi. Happy Wednesday!

This dress is the 2nd item in my order I received from Shein (see the first item here). I am indecisive about this dress. I like the style but the fabric is on the thin side. I tried to wear it with a pair of leggings but the length looked awkward on me. For those reasons, it is a miss for me. On a positive note, the ankle boots I am wearing in this post is currently 33% off. I can't recommend them enough. They're super comfortable and go with practically everything. Sleeveless cardigans are all the rage this Fall. It's the perfect transition piece. It's been awhile since something from SheIn caught my attention but I am happy to report that this cardigan is a hit. The material is nothing to write home about but I like the way it fits. the length hits me at the right spot and I adore the pockets. As the temperature slowly drops, this cardigan is the perfect solution for cool mornings. The first outfit is what I wore hiking this past weekend with my family. Even though it's still warm outside, it's definitely chilly in the shade. The cardigan adds instant chic to any outfit now but will come in handy this Fall

An item that I've been enjoying for the past few months is this floral blouse. The fit is great, it's wrinkle-free and can be dressed up or down. I paired it with a pencil skirt for work here and loved the color combo. Today, I am dressing it down with a pair of my favorite denim cutoffs. On the flip side, the last order I received from SheIn was a total miss (see below). This maxi dress (non-affiliate link) is unlined so it basically shows everything underneath. As for the red dress (non-affiliate link), the style is cute but the fit is very odd. It's been months since I've found a "hit" *sigh*. See previous hits & misses posts here.

As promised here - today, I am showing the rest of my order I received from She In a few weeks ago. Other than these shorts, this dress was also a hit for me. You know how much I love lace and this dress is a great addition to my closet. The quality of this dress exceeds what I would expect. It's fully lined and certainly feels nicer than some of the other items from She In. I am 5'2 and and the small fits perfectly, not to body hugging and just falls right above my knee.

Today's post features a hit and a miss from Romwe. First up is this cute romper. Rompers are all in the rage this summer and I am a huge fan (don't judge!). They're fun, flirty and give you maximum style with minimal effort. This little number might not look like anything spectacular, but the fit is amazing. The black and white contrast is so chic. The rompers come with a removable self tie belt but I decided to use a different belt. Floral Shorts & Chambray Shirt

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. The past 3 days flew by so fast. It's time to go back to work. Today's post features these darling floral shorts. It's been awhile since I've been excited about an item from SheIn. For under $20, these shorts are definitely a hit. Floral and chambray is one of my favorite combinations so naturally, I paired them with my new chambray shirt. I really love the way this look turned out. These shorts are 100% lined (waist = 13", length = 11"). As usual, I received 4 items from my last order. 2 out of the 4 items I like pretty well and the other 2 aren't so great. I will feature the other hit along with the "misses" later this week.

Hits & Misses # 5: Cold-Shoulder Top & Boyfriend Shorts

It definitely felt like summer last weekend. This cold-shoulder top is perfect for hot summer days. It's from my last order c/o Sheinside. The quality is somewhat decent. Material is on the thinner side but drapes nicely. I had to shorten the straps (by hand) but other than that, I like it pretty well. Off the shoulder is all the rage right now and this little number is certainly welcome in my closet. First up is this cute ice-cream dress. It was the best one of the bunch. The dress itself isn't so bad. However, there is something about it that I don't like and can't quite put my finger on it (too puffy? too childish?). The fit is decent and it's 100% lined. It might be cute for a picnic at a park but I can't see myself wearing it often.
