Pink gingham and wool

I’ve been making several trips back and forth to Old Navy lately. I don’t shop there very often because of their generous sizing. Although, I do think Old Navy has stepped it up as of late. I picked up a few items last week on super sale including this gingham shirt. I wasn’t looking for one because I already purchased the J.Crew perfect gingham shirt not too long ago. While I was there, I spotted a tiny-looking gingham shirt and had to give it a try.

2011 Petite Gift Exchange

I've had a blast exchanging gifts with other petite ladies last year. Of course, I wasn’t hesitant in joining them again this year. Thanks, Jessy for organizing the gift exchange! Without further ado, my secret Santa was..... Lorraine of Petite In The City.

Fall Wish-list Item # 3: Something leopard

Hope everyone had a great holiday break. I didn’t step foot in the mall nor do any shopping online this year. My sister told me I wasn’t missing out on any great deals. Today, back to work I go. At least, things are quiet at work.

Vacation Recap & Merry Christmas to all!

Hi everyone,

It's Christmas Eve! As mentioned here, my family and I opted for a family vacation instead of a gift exchange at Christmas. I put together a recap video of the vacation we took 2 weeks ago. Everyone had a great time especially my parents, my husband's family and my siblings (it was their first time being on a cruise). The little one was able to do most of the activities that she wanted to do this time including rock climbing and para-sailing. I hope you enjoy the video. May the magic of this holiday season bring you all that you have been wishing for.

Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Holiday Gift Ideas for Kids

I know Christmas is technically tomorrow but if you're still struggling to find the perfect gift for the little ones, I hope you find this post helpful. A month before Christmas, we asked the little one to write a list to Santa. May I present to you little C's Christmas wishlist =)

Let me first start out by saying she is a very good girl. Never once in her life cried in a toy store (or any other places) for something that she wanted. However, we still want her to know that Christmas is not all about gifts.

Old Navy sweaters for $10.00 each (with Groupon deal)

Groupon is having a $20 Old Navy voucher for $10.00. I bought one late last night and was able to use it immediately. I stopped by my local Old Navy on the way to work this morning and it was wonderful. The store was nice and neat and sales associates were very helpful. It will be a different story after work for sure. Here are some fitting room pics:

Sale alert: Amazing deal on J.Crew Outerwear

**Update: All small sizes are gone!**

As you already know, J.Crew is having an amazing deal on their popular double-cloth lady day coat. Thanks to Sew Petite Gal for tweeting the sale alert. Almost all my jackets are in neutral/classic colors. I am dying to have an attention-grabbing jacket to cheer me up. I ordered the lady day coat in vibrant flame (size 0P) this morning. It was $80.00 plus an additional 30% off with code "SNOWMAN" (no longer available). I ended up paying $56.00 for this gorgeous coat. Let’s hope it works out. This is the lowest price I have ever seen for this particular coat.

Altering a size 12P skirt to a 00P

Hi everyone,

We just came back from our vacation late last night. After all, nothing feels like home. Today is laundry/catch-up day. My husband and the little one are going shopping right now so I have a bit of "me" time. I want to do a quick post to show you a DIY project that I did last week.

I felt in love with the Ann Taylor Modern A-line Zip skirt when it first came out but the $98 price tag was too pricey for me. By the time it goes on sale, small sizes are gone. It went on final sale last week for $9.95 plus an additional 25% off. The only size left that I found in store that day was a 12P. I decided to bring it home and do my own alterations. For $7.50, if I don't succeed, there is nothing to cry about. Here is how it looks on me pre-alterations.

Weekend Fun: My first macaron experience!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend! This morning, my husband and I took a little trip downtown to check out a French bakery. I've heard so much about macarons (French cookies) but never had a chance to try them just yet. At one time, I was considered ordering them online but shipping was ridiculous. Thanks to Olyvia  for letting me know about Pistacia Vera. I had no idea there is a local bakery that has macarons.

t+j Designs Style Challenge!

Statement jewelry is something that I haven't ventured into. As a petite women, I try to avoid bulky jewelry. Regardless of which type of statement jewelry that you choose, there is only one rule – wear one statement piece at a time. You do not want to over accessorize with jewelry.

t+j Designs is currently hosting a statement jewelry styling challenge, I thought it would be fun to enter. For this challenge, I am wearing the Flo necklace c/o Poshlocket. As you can see, this necklace is very dramatic. I wanted this necklace to be the center of the attention so I kept everything else minimal. I chose this simple black and white dress as a backdrop to show off this beautiful necklace.

Meeting up with Angie & UO Fitting Room Pics

Yesterday, I had an opportunity to meet up with the sweetest Angie of Pandaphilia. I’ve been a long-time follower of her blog. I was expecting to see a young college student with a cheerful personality. Angie, in real life, is very calm, sweet and down to earth.

Holiday Gift Ideas for Her

With Christmas is only 22 days away, I am sure some of you are checking your lists for your favorite gifts to give this holiday season. According to some research, jewelry pieces are the all time most wanted as Christmas gifts for ladies. I am not surprised. Nothing is better than opening a sparkly gift on your Christmas day, right? Last month, an online jewelry store called Anjolee reached out for a mention. I'll admit at first I was a bit skeptical about getting a piece of jewelry online. However, the process turned out to be pretty painless.
