Teddy Blake Eva vs. Hermes Kelly

TeddyBlakeEvaReview_SydneysFashionDiaryAs promised, I am going to review the Teddy Blake Eva bag today. If you're interested in hearing my thoughts about the brand and their bags, please read my initial post here. I have this bag for almost a month and I am thoroughly enjoying it. My first impression of the Teddy Blake Eva bag is basically the same as the Caty bag. It's extremely well made. The leather feels so nice and luxurious. The hardware is insanely shiny and beautiful. I am a huge fan of the pebbled leather. The biggest difference I've noticed is that the Eva is way more structured than the Caty. I had a hard time deciding on which color but ultimately went with the light grey. I am very pleased with the color. It's just simply gorgeous and goes with everything (I did not own a grey bag previously)
TeddyBlakeEvaReview_SydneysFashionDiary
Let's talk about sizing! What I have here is the Eva silver 11" in grey and it's a wonderful size for a petite woman. As a small bag type of girl, I should have gone with a Kelly 28cm instead of a 32cm. The size 32cm isn't a bad choice but if you only consider one Kelly bag and you're petite, I would highly recommend a size 28cm. Now that I have the Eva 11" (which is the same size as the Kelly 28cm), I am 100% convinced that the Kelly 28cm looks best on me. On the positive note, I now have both sizes and love the ability to switch back and forth. I also love the fact that the Teddy Blake has the same look as the selllier vs. the one I have is the retourne. They're very similar but different in a way. Below is a quick side by side comparison between the Teddy Black Eva 11" and the Hermes Kelly 32cm for your reference. The Eva is a bit more formal while the Kelly holds a bit more. I hope you find this post helpful. As mentioned in my initial post, if your (bag) goal in life is owning the Hermes Kelly or Birkin then I'd save and achieve that goal one day. However, if you love the classic styles and not too keen on the idea of dropping a huge amount of $$ on one handbag then Teddy Blake is a wonderful option (as long as you don't pass it off as something it isn't). Teddy Blake :: Luxury bags for less

TeddyBlakeEvaBag_SydneysFashionDiary
Today, I have a handbag review for you. You might recall I’ve done several handbag reviews for Teddy Blake in the past. I love all their handbags but the new Ava has to be my most favorite bag that I own so far from Teddy Blake. The quality was exceptional. Teddy Blake offers a wide variety of leather types but their pebbled leather is my favorite. I prefer pebbled leather for all my bags as it's extremely durable and requires less maintenance. The size is perfect for everyday use. Outfit details: Teddy Blake bag | Express pants | H&M sweater | Christian Louboutin shoes

Features I love:
Adjustable shoulder strap: Being on 5’2”, the adjustable strap was one of my favorite features. It's allowing me to find my perfect setting. I love how it can go from a shoulder bag to a crossbody bag within seconds.
Back pocket for easy access: The back of the bag has a zippered pocket that is super convenient for accessing items you need on the go. It's big enough for your keys, parking tickets, money and more. Not to mention, the zipper is very well made and glides smoothly.
Magnetic closure: The front flap has a magnetic closure allowing you to open and close the bag with greater ease. The magnetic closure is strong enough that the bag can be worn without having to close it all the way. I kind of love the way it looks as well
Fully lined in suede: The suede lining inside adds an ultraluxe feel. This bag is the perfect size for everyday use. It feels very luxurious without a luxury price tag

I’ve had this bag for a few weeks now and I am still so in love with it. Some of my co-workers are checking out this bag as well. It is truly perfect for work and play. Not to mention, this shade of beige goes with virtually everything. If beige isn't your thing, this bag is available in 8 color options here.

A bag review :: Teddy Blake Lydia Dollarino Tote

Hope you’re having a great week! Holiday shopping season is in full swing. I want to get this review up just in case you’re looking to get a work tote for someone. At the beginning of the summer, I started going to the office 4 days a week. It was a big change for me as I was working from home for 2.5 years. Now that I am going back and forth between home and the office, I have to carry my work laptop home with me every day. I wanted a tote bag that would fit my laptop and have room for other essential items, the Teddy Blake Lydia Dollarino tote is the perfect choice for me. I've done quite a few reviews for Teddy Blake. You can read previous posts here.
I was looking for a work tote that will stand the test of time but at the same time, I don’t want to pay a high price tag for it. A work bag is something that will get beaten up eventually. What I like about the Teddy Blake Lydia Dollarino tote.

  • The size is perfect for what I need: The bag measures 10.6" (H) x 5.5" (W) x 14.2" (L). It fits my work laptop perfectly with room to spare (I have a 13” laptop)
  • I love the fact that it has one big compartment. I can understand having a divider in a bag but for me, I don't like to rifle through a divider. It also takes up a lot of space.
  • The central compartment can be expanded to fit more if needed
  • Available in 7 colors from fun to neutral shades. I decided on a neutral one because it goes with everything in my wardrobe
  • There is a generous interior zipper pocket where I keep my badge and parking pass
  • The adjustable shoulder strap is what sold me. Wear it as a single cross body strap or double it up as a shoulder strap,
  • The chain shoulder straps come with a soft and comfortable leather guard to save my shoulder from unwanted bruising. My work bag can get super heavy.
  • I love the pebbled calf leather. It gives off a luxurious look yet durable for everyday wear
  • The gold tone is muted and so not in your face as I am a silver kind of girl
  • The bag has a sophisticated and timeless look with no prominent logos

I’ve been carrying it to work for over a week now and I love it. If you’re looking for a functional luxury work tote bag, I highly recommend you look into this one.

Handbag Review :: Teddy Blake Vanessa Tote

TeddyBlakeReview_SydneysFashionDiary
Happy Friday, ladies! It sure doesn't seem like a short work week to me. The kids are out of school and we're looking forward to a great summer. For this week's handbag chit chat, I am going to review this beautiful Teddy Blake Vanessa tote. I've worked with Teddy Blake in the past and am happy to review another of their bags just in case you're interested. This bag is not as popular as the Caty or the Eva so I hope you'll find this review helpful.
TeddyBlakeReview_SydneysFashionDiary
As you can tell, the Vanessa is very reminiscent of the Prada Cuir double tote (which I reviewed here). This bag is made out of textured calfskin leather. It's not as rigid as the signature Prada saffiano leather but still gives structure to the bag. I love the texture and feel of the leather. Not to mention, it smells amazing! Similar to the Prada Cuir, the Vanessa features 3 compartments (two open compartments and one middle compartment with zipper for security purposes). There are no pocket on the inside of the bag. Since it's a tote, there is not much organization. To keep my things organized, I use this purse insert and it works like a charm. There are pockets for my phone, my cosmetic pouch, my wallet and keys. I can use the other open compartment for files and folder.
TeddyBlakeReview_SydneysFashionDiary
Other features that I love:
- The interior is lined with real suede
- The bag comes with a 50" adjustable and removable shoulder strap
- The bag has 4 metal feet on the bottom for added protection
- It's a tad smaller than the Prada Cuir medium (which was one of the cons for me) but still very roomy
TeddyBlakeReview_SydneysFashionDiary
Let's talk about the color! The Vanessa is available in 7 different colors. I chose the beige because I wanted something neutral that I can wear to work everyday. This color literally goes with everything and anything. As you can see in the photo above, the color works well with both printed and solid pieces. Not to mention, this color can be worn any time of the year. If you don't want to spend $2800 on the Prada Cuir, the Vanessa is a fantastic option. I don't know about you but I am always nervous wearing an expensive handbag to work. Plus, my kids always throw their stuff on top of my bag when they're in the car. For under $500, this classic silhouette will never go out of style.

Handbag Review :: Teddy Blake Sophia Bag

TeddyBlakeSophia_SydneysFashionDiary
Did you know PurseBlog has created National Handbag day in 2012? For 2020, National Handbag day is this Saturday 10/10. In honor of this fun day, I have a handbag review for you. There is no secret that I love luxury handbags but I love a bag even more when it looks and feels expensive without the luxury price tag. I've worked with Teddy Blake many times throughout the years and I can't say enough good things about the brand. Today, I am reviewing the Sophia which is one of their newest styles. Fall is officially here and what better way to celebrate the new season than adding a gorgeous bag to your Fall wardrobe. The Sophia measures 6"(H) x 3"(W) x 9"(L), this bag is perfect for everyday use. It has room for all my daily essentials yet small enough to look fashionable without overwhelming my petite frame. What I love about Teddy Blake bags in general is that all their bags are made of premium Italian leather. This one is no exception. The Sophia is handcrafted with a combination of 100% genuine leather and genuine suede yet, somehow it's lightweight. The bag features gold-toned detailing, one interior side pocket and a flap with magnetic closure.

Teddy Blake Eliza Bucket Bag

TeddyBlakeElizaBag_SydneysFashionDiary We got a few inches of snow last night out of no where but I am looking forward to spring-like weather starting next week. Speaking of Spring, I have the perfect bag for Spring to talk about today. I worked with Teddy Blake several times in the past and am always been a fan of their bags. As the matter of fact, I carry the Vanessa as my everyday work bag. I have it for almost than a year now and it's holding up so well. The bucket bag trend is still going strong for Spring and I am thrilled to add this beauty to my Spring wardrobe. All about the Teddy Blake Ava bag

TeddyBlakeAvaBag_SydneysFashionDiary
Happy Monday, everyone! Today, I have an exciting handbag review for you. There is no secret that I love designer handbags. However, they come with a hefty price tag. We all know that spending thousands of dollars on a designer handbag is not always possible. However, you definitely do not have to spend that ridiculous amount of money for a well-made handbag. Exceptional quality and craftmanship contemporary handbags do exist. One of the brands that come to mind is Coach. A leather Coach bag is just as nice as a Louis Vuitton bag but for a fraction of the cost. Teddy Blake is also a great brand that worth looking into. I've reviewed quite a few Teddy Blake bags. Out of all the bags I've reviewed thus far, the Ava is my number one favorite. My opinions in this post still ring true. I still love the bag and wholeheartedly recommend it. The one that I reviewed in that post is the Ava 11". I rarely buy multiple versions of the same item but this bag is an exception. Since I love the bag so much, I wanted to own the 9" version as well as the tiny 6" version because why not?
TeddyBlakeBagReview_SydneysFashionDiary
First up is the 9" Ava in pink. Not generally a pink girl but I love this subtle shade of pink for Spring. The gorgeous pebbled leather gets me every time. While the 11" version is great for work, the 9" version is perfect for every day use. If you're on the petite side, the 9" version is the perfect size for you. It's not too big but not too small either. All Ava bags come with an adjustable shoulder bag which I appreciate. It's a great classic!
TeddyBlakeAva6Inch_SydneysFashionDiary (1)
If you are into luxury bags, you might have noticed micro bags are becoming the trendiest accessory. Jacquemus is the brand that started it all. Even though I love the textured leather, I purposely chose the smooth leather to review. Just as expected, the smooth leather is just as gorgeous as the pebbled leather. The Ava 6" is absoluately adorable in person. Please keep in mind that it's tiny. It will not fit an iPhone. It will fit your cards, a lipstick and your key. Sure, micro bags are tiny but they're the perfect size if you're a minimalist. Also, I was thinking if you have a little girl, these coordinating handbags would be perfect for a mother-daughter duo. Out of 3 sizes, the 9" is my favorite. Whether I am dressed super casual or dressy, the Ava bag is the perfect accessory. It's classic, timeless and elegant! A Spring Outfit For Work

SpringOutfitIdeas_SydneysFashionDiary
Last week, I purchased a few key pieces to help freshen up my Spring wardrobe and this lightweight sweater was one of them. Even though the weather is getting warmer, it's not quite warm enough to go out in short sleeves. This sweater is perfect for this time of year. I paired it with an old floral skirt for work but it can be easily dressed down with a pair of jeans. This beautiful shade of grey goes with pretty much everything. The best part? It's only $10. If grey is not your cup of tea, this sweater is available in a whooping 12 colors (all on sale). Outfit details: Ann Taylor sweater *size XS* | similar floral skirt | Christian Louboutin shoes | Teddy Blake bag | Free People sunglasses
