Goodies from my secret santa

Hi ladies,

I hope you all had a good Christmas and spent some quality time with your loved ones. Although I didn't get any more time off other than the 3-day weekend, I still feel fresh and ready to go again. As mentioned in this post, I am doing the gift exchange with 13 other petite ladies for Christmas. Tonight is the reveal night. Are you ready? My secret Santa was..................

She is one of my favorite bloggers. I seriously want to raid her closet. She is not afraid to go out of her comfort zone and make her own style. I got the package a few days before Christmas and I was thrilled. The first thing she got for me was the Romeo and Juliet military sweater jacket in size small. What I love about this sweater is the military inspired look, the olive green color and peplum hem. I don't have anything similar to this sweater so I am extremely excited to add it to my closet. Continue reading...

Welcoming 2011

Today, I have reached 300 followers. I know this isn’t a huge # compared to some other blogs but I am still beyond excited. I just want to thank each and every one of you for following my blog (especially the petite blogger community). You’re the reason why I still blog. 2010 was quite a year for us. We’ve had many ups and downs, pleasant and unpleasant moments. That how life is. We just have to deal with things as they come and try to make the best of out of it. The most important thing is no matter what happens, I know we always have each other's back. We’re welcoming 2011 with open arms.

I was tagged by Elaine to do my New Year’s resolutions. So here goes...

1. Saving, saving and more saving: 2010 was all about spending so 2011 is all about saving. Unfortunately, there were quite a few unexpected things came up in 2010 that we had to spend the money for. I am glad it’s over and it’s time to put the $$ back into the savings. Continue reading...

Happy Holidays

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and Santa brings you all what you want. My family and I celebrated Christmas last night at my parents. I am glad that the in-law was able to come and visit us this year for Christmas so we don't have to travel. Everyone gathered at my parents on Christmas Eve for dinner. Thanks to my brother and sister-in-law, we had so much food on the table. Everyone was having a great time and enjoyed each other's company . Of course, little one couldn't wait to open her presents. The look on her face was just priceless when she saw the VS lip gloss set that we've got for her. I hope you're enjoying the holiday with your loved ones. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all readers of PetiteLittleGirl.com. I am going to take it easy today and save my energy for after Christmas shopping tomorrow :) Continue reading...

Holiday edition: Gift guide for kids

We're counting down to Christmas at our house and the little one couldn't stay away from the presents. Buying gifts for young kids can be tricky especially when you’re not a parent. I’d like to share some of the things that I bought for my little girl this Christmas. I hope to give you some ideas if you’re still looking for a perfect gift for your niece/nephew.

The first item on her wish list was the Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss Gift Set. She enjoys flipping through the Victoria Secret catalog. She thinks this lip gloss set is kind of cool to put on her Christmas wish list. She is not allowed to have any kind of make up whatsoever. I don't mind getting it for her so she can play dress up with the neighbor kids or her friends when they come over. It’s not just about the educational stuff all the time. She should have some fun at her age. Continue reading...

Weekend outfit: A snowy Saturday

Winter has finally arrived. It's been snowing for the past few days in Ohio. I woke up this morning and there was 3 inches of snow on the ground. Although I hate driving during winter but I love the snow. It’s so pretty. I can’t help but snapped a few pictures of the outfit I worn today. Today is just a typical Saturday. I ran some errands, stopped by my parents to see Mom and Dad, hung out with the siblings for a while, went back home and be lazy with the husband. Tomorrow, I think we’re going to hit the outlet mall. Hopefully, there won’t be any problems with the roads. Have a great weekend, everyone. Stay warm! Continue reading...

Holiday edition: Deals from my favorite stores

It's that time of the year and retailers are trying hard to get some last minute sales. We as the consumers sure will take advantage of the deals. There are many sales going on this week from my favorite retailers. I am going to share some incredible sales that I was lucky to catch with you before they’re gone. If you’re still looking for the last minute gifts, I hope this post will save you some $$

GAP: Gap was having a sale on top of the discount yesterday. I tweeted yesterday about the sale. Their discount changes daily so it’s hard to keep up with. I decided to stop by the mall yesterday and see what they have in stores. One thing to keep in mind is that they do not carry petite sizes in stores. I truly wish they do. That would be pretty awesome. I found this cowl neck sweater (as previously seen on Jean @ ExtraPetite) for $14.00. This sweater was originally $54.50. It got marked down to $19.99 and 30% off on top of that. Pretty sweet deal huh?  Continue reading...

Final price: $14.00 (originally $54.50)

Holiday edition: My 2010 Christmas wish list(s)

I can’t believe Christmas is less than 10 days away. There is no secret that I love the holidays especially Christmas. Not just for the presents, but for being with my loved ones, taking time off from work and of course, holiday shopping. Speaking of taking time off from work, I am so jealous that the husband is taking 17 days off straight to spend time at the gym and going places with the little one. I wish I could take more time off to be with them.

Today I’d like to share my Christmas wish lists with you guys. I hope you can use some of these ideas and find some last minute gifts for your loved ones. Why there are two? You asked! One is for the husband and one is for my petite secret Santa. If you aren’t familiar with secret Santa, there is a website called Elfster.com. There are 13 of us who signed up and joined the drawing. Once the deadline has passed everyone that signed up is drawn a name and they receive a note to let them know who they have. A big thank to Miss Jessy @ TheLittleDustPrincess for organizing this event. It’s a fun and neat idea for doing gift exchange. Come back here on 12.30.10 and see what I've got from my secret Santa. This is what I put on my Christmas wish list for the gift exchange. Everything is under $25.00. These items are great for stocking stuffers. Continue reading...

Weekend outfit: Featuring Colehaan Petra Tall Boots

This outfit represents what I typically wear on the weekend. My go-to weekend outfit is usually a pair of skinny jeans tucked into boots and some sort of sweaters.  I wear high heels 5 days a week. Therefore, on the weekend, I try to give my feet a break and only wear flats.  If you follow my blog, you probably remember my midnight madness experience. I went shopping at mid-night on Thanksgiving to pick up a pair of riding boots that I have been eyeing for a while. Here they are, the Colehaan Petra Tall Boots. Continue reading...

Seven confessions (..because I got tagged twice)

I got tagged twice by Nelah @ 52 new days and Hanna @ Banhannas to do my seven confessions soooo no more excuses for me. Are you ready?

1. I do not eat vegetables or fruits. I only like mushrooms and green beans. I started to eat lettuce recently but it is definitely not my favorite thing to eat. My Mom told me I was so skinny when I was a child. She only fed me with meat to help me gain weight.  I grew up without veggies and that’s why I don’t like them. The smell of banana makes me gag.

2. I have been sleeping with the same body pillow for 10 years. My grand-mother made me one 10 years ago and I kept it since. Hubby told me one of these days, dust mites will be crawling out of my pillow at night. He even bought me a new pillow but I refused to replace my old one.

3. This confession is similar to Kelly’s. When I crave for something, I’ll eat one food until I am sick of it. My current food craving? Chipotle :)

4. I am a sucker for sale. I kicked myself many times when I come home with a pair of black pumps (when I already had 10 pairs at home) instead of a pair of nude pumps (the ones that I really need). Well, because the black ones are on sale!

5. I considered myself as an easy going person. Most of the time, people’s behavior do not bother me except judgmental people. They bother the crap out of me. It doesn’t make he/she a bad person if they don’t do things your way. Everyone is created differently. That’s what makes people unique and life interesting. Please don’t judge people unless you think you’re perfect!

6. My feet are ice cold all the time and that’s why I wear socks all year around (yes, even in the summer). I feel naked without socks

7. I am a Starbucks addict. My drink changes throughout the year. In the summer/spring, it is the Javachip Frap. In the Fall, it is the pumpkin spice latte. In the Winter, it is the peppermint mocha. I never calculated how much money I spent on Starbucks each month ‘cuz I know I would freak out. Cutting back on Starbucks is one of my new year's resolutions. Until then, I enjoy my Peppermint mocha every morning. If you have a Starbucks's gift card and you don’t use it, you’ll know where to send it to :)

I am not going to tag anyone but please feel free to share your confessions
xoxo,

An early Christmas gift for ourselves

I have been wanting a DSLR camera forever. For the past 6 months of blogging, I use 2 cameras: the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX5 which I purchased last Christmas and the Nikon D70 borrowed from my Dad. Thanks Dad! Although, the Nikon D70 does a pretty decent job but it's getting out dated. My Dad bought it five years ago when my daughter first born to capture the moments of his first grandchild. I used it for quite some time and really enjoyed it. Hubby and I was talking about getting our own DSLR camera few weeks ago. At last, we pulled the trigger and brought home this baby with us. Buy this camera [here]. Continue reading...

Petite Fashion Challenge # 4: Holiday Party

I can't believe we're up to the Petite Fashion Challenge # 4 already. I am wondering how far the PFC will go? The Petite Fashion Challenge # 4 is hosted this month by a Canadian fashion blogger - Elaine @ Curls-and-Pearls. I was so behind in this challenge (as usual) but finally was able to pulled it off.

The challenge: Create a holiday party look using festive colours and/or holiday pieces without looking like a greeting card.  This could be your opportunity to dust off that reindeer sweater you might have collecting dust in the back of your closet and turn it into something chic.

I am all about finding new places to shop and trying out new brands. It’s hard to find the perfect formal dress to begin with. Being petite makes it twice as hard. I have no choice but keep going back to the same retailers for my everyday clothes. I was wandering around the junior department at JCP the other day while waiting for my Mom and this dress caught my attention. I looked through the rack quickly and realized this dress is available in size 1. I thought it would be perfect for the upcoming holiday. Continue reading...

Midnight madness experience & Bebe trench coat

I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving weekend and got a lot of goodies on Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Four day weekend flew by quickly. I am still playing catch up with my sleep and everything else. Like I mentioned in this post, we planned to join the midnight madness on Thanksgiving night. We sure did! After stuffing ourselves with turkey and crab legs, we headed out at 11:00 pm. The outlet is an hour and half away. It was snowing and raining that night too. We finally got there around 1:00AM and it was jam-packed like a Saturday afternoon. We got home around 6:00 in the morning and I was dead tired. My only intention for going to the outlet was to get my Colehaan boots I had on hold. I did bring those babies home but oh boy, it was quite an experience. I will have to show them off in another post.Would I do it again? Sure! Would I do it every year? I do not think so. I slept for 14 hours the next day. I must give credit to my husband for driving me and my siblings to the outlet (while everyone slept in the back seats), standing at the checkout lines while I shopped, going through racks to find my sizes and getting us home safe and sound. I know I am crazy but thank you for being crazy with me! A bit of good news

Remember I blogged about the trip to Washington DC for work in this post? I had to take 5 exams during the training. Guess what? I passed them all :) We abandoned our mailbox for several days and it was basically full. There is so much advertising mail this time of the year. In that pile, there was a big envelope that caught my attention. I quickly realized in that envelope is my test results. I couldn’t open it fast enough and here are my 5 certifications for passing the exams.

To celebrate, I am going shopping again! hahah..Just kidding! I’ve done enough of shopping in the past 2 days. We’re going to see the movie “Tangled” with little one today. Have a great Saturday everyone!

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

I love holidays especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. There is nothing I enjoy more than having my family over, celebrating the holiday and enjoying each other’s company. Thanksgiving is just a few days away. I'd like to delicate this post to thank the most significant people in my life.

What I am thankful for the most is my parents. They have been understanding, standing by me and extremely supportive in many ways. I would be lost without my Mom and Dad. Life is not easy! No matter what happened, they were always there to guide me but let me make my own decisions. My parents did the best they could for us and I am very grateful to have them as my parents.

I am thankful for my supportive husband. I am blessed that our marriage is strong and it keeps getting stronger with each obstacle life throws at us. I am married to not only my partner in life but also my best friend. He has been so patient with me and helps me to become a stronger person. I am grateful for my little girl who brings me so much joy. She is growing like a sponge and learning new things every day. Although, her private school costs me a new Louis Vuitton each month (LOL!), I still think it is worth every penny. I am very thankful that we are able to provide her with an early start on her education. Continue reading...

CLOSED - Giveaway: Win a TLBC bra of your choice

**This giveaway is now closed. Stay tuned for the winner**

If you missed my previous post, click here to see my review for the Angela bra and the pretty lace Ethel from The Little Bra Company.

I'd like to share with you guys a little story. Earlier this year, my dear husband gave me an offer that I can either have a new pair of eyes or a new pair of boobs..LOL..My vision was pretty bad. I was technically blind without my contacts. I have worn them for so long (15 years?). I wanted nothing more than being able to see things clearly without the contacts. Although, a new pair of boobs sounds pretty awesome too. He was seriously about it and trust me! it was so hard to make a decision. In the end, I decided to go for a new pair of eyes. I had Lasik done back in January and couldn’t be happier. I am very happy with my decision. I feel sexy because who I am with not because how I look.

Choosing the correct under clothing can help you really feel sexy and help you stay healthy. One lucky reader will win a TLBC bra of her choice (up to $60.00 value). I’d like to thank TLBC for sponsoring this giveaway. Your products truly make me feel sexy. Continue reading...

Yesterday I took advantage of the Friends and Family sale at Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor LOFT. Use the code “FBFRIENDS” for additional 30% your online purchases or click here for a printable coupon. Review: The Little Bra Company (TLBC)

The petite blogging community is probably very familiar with The Little Bra Company (TLBC). They have generously sponsored many of the petite fashion blogs. After seeing many great reviews, I am so thrilled that they contacted me to do another review for them and also another giveaway for my readers. Stay tuned!

Company overview:

Happy Birthday, Dad!

My Dad turned 70 years old past weekend. Us kids were trying to figure out the best way to celebrate his 70th birthday weeks ago. It is a big one and an important one. My Dad has been working his entire life. As the matter of fact, he is still working full time right now at the age of 70. My parents took less than a handful of vacations since the day they came to the US. They worked so hard to support us while we were in school. We usually took him out for dinner every year on his birthday but this year, we wanted to do something special.

Living in Ohio is kind of hard to plan a weekend vacation. Every place that we wanted to go, we either have to fly or drive for a long period of time. Finally, we came up with an idea that we’re going to celebrate my Dad’s birthday at the casino. He has never in his life been to a casino. We’re not gamblers but we think it would be a fun experience for him.

We took off work early on Friday. Everyone hopped in the rental van and headed to Hollywood Casino (which is about 3 hours away). We spent Friday and Saturday at the casino. My Dad really enjoyed the stay and the time he spent with us. Hubby and I won $200.00. Yay! The trip wouldn't be completed without stopping by the outlet mall. Hubby and I was happy to spend the winning money there. I will share my purchase next week.

Happy Birthday, Dad! We really hope that you are going to stay with us for another 20 years

Petite Fashion Challenge # 3

Petite Fashion Challenge # 3 is finally here. I was so behind on this challenge. Thank goodness, I did manage to complete this challenge.  Let’s see how well I did…
When looking for outfit inspiration, I usually turn to female celebrities . I adore so many style icons such as Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Anniston. The one that stands out the most is Kim Kardashian. There is no denying that she is a beautiful girl with gorgeous curves. She knows how to mix high-end and low-end pieces, dressy elements and casual items. Best of all, she loves her body. She embraces her curves and is comfortable in her own skin.

I am a sucker for reality TV shows. You bet I will be in front of the TV at 10:00 EST Sunday night watching “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. Although she is not petite but I adore her style and fashion sense. I chose Kim Kardashian’s signature look for Petite Fashion Challenge #3. Her go-to outfit consists of a black boyfriend blazer, skinny jeans, oversized bag and statement jewelry. She has been spotted many times wearing her signature look. It’s not hard for me to search for one of her inspired outfits. I found this photo from Google images and immediately in love with her outfit. It’s casual but yet chic and stylish.

LORAC purchase from Hautelook

Ladies,

Just a quick post today to let you guys know Lorac is on sale today on Hautelook. Click here if you need an invite. I am clueless when it comes to make up. I don’t have a case full of makeup products like some other ladies do. I have been following some of makeup gurus and learned so much about makeup products. I recently purchased LORAC aquaPRIME Oil Free Makeup Primer from Hautelook at a decent price. It is still full-priced at Sephora. **Update** This product is on sale on Hautelook right now for $8.00 (from $30.00). I have been using this product for the past 2 weeks and I love it. I will do a full post on some of the makeup products I have recently purchased.

Sale starts at 11:00 AM EST so be sure to check it out. I have purchased from Hautelook multiple times and everything went relatively well.

Have a great week, everyone. Don’t forget, Petite Fashion Challenge #3 is due tomorrow :)

Giveaway winner

Ladies,

I have been super busy lately so I didn’t have any outfit post scheduled. My stuff is still in the suitcase from the trip to DC. I have tons of laundry to do, getting costume ready for little one. Since she is going to both private and public schools, she is having two costume parades this week. I feel like I have been moving non-stop since I got back from DC. That’s what I've got for being away from home a whole week. I also seriously need to come up with something for Petite Fashion Challenge #3 this Thursday. There are several ladies have completed their challenges. I cannot wait to see everyone’s outfits this Thursday.

I am happy that hubby was able to make it to Washington DC to see me after my training. There are many interesting places to visit in DC. We booked the Washington DC night tours, tours of Capitol Building (I highly recommended this tour if you are going to DC). The building is spectacular and full of history. We also visited The Smithsonian museums and the White House. It was a long drive back home but I am glad to be home. I missed my own bed 'cuz nothing feels like home. I’ll leave you with some beautiful photos from DC :)

Petite Fashion Challenge # 3

This month, I am so excited and honor to host the Petite Fashion Challenge # 3. Everyone seemed to enjoy the Petite Fashion Challenge #1 and the Petite Fashion Challenge #2 including myself. If you are interested in hosting a future PFC, click here to sign up. It was fun to see how everyone overcame the challenge based on their own fashion sense.
Petite Fashion Challenge # 3 is…"The look for less"

I have always been a big fan of the show  “The look for less”.  I love to see and review fashion trends, fashion shows, fashion designers, and celebrity style. I understand that not everyone has a celebrity's budget but that should not stop us from dressing like one.
The challenge:
Who is your celeb style icon? Pick an outfit from your favorite celeb and show us how to recreate that look for less. Usually, your style icon reflects your personal style and also your body type. In this challenge, your style icon doesn’t have to be a petite.
How to participate:

• If you'd like to participate and have your own blog, submit your blog's URL using the entry form below. Schedule your post for 8:00PM EST (5:00PM PST) on Thursday October 28.
• To schedule your post: set the desired time and click “Publish”. Last time, I set the time and went to bed. I woke up the next morning and wondered why my post didn’t get posted. Now I know why :)

• Please include the Petite Fashion Challenge button above and link back to this post (just copy and paste the HTML code below)
• I will link everyone's posts and publish at 8:30 PM EST. I know it's kind of early for those of you who live in  SoCal but I can't stay up late anymore :)

• If you'd like to participate but don't have a blog, email me at PetiteLG(at)gmail(dot)com. I will include your entry with everyone's.

Ladies, are you ready for this challenge?

Review: Bebe Petites

Some of you might have heard Bebe launched their petite line a few months ago.  Bebe's petite line is targeted  at women 5’4” and under. I have always been a big fan of them. Bebe carries a nice selection of pencil skirts and it’s almost a guarantee that size zero will fit me. I noticed the other day that more than half of my pencil skirts are from Bebe. Lately, Bebe's style is getting a bit too trendy for me. On the other hand, maybe I should say I am getting too old to wear Bebe clothes. Regardless, I am thrilled that PR agreed to send me a few pieces from their petite line to introduce to my readers.

The package arrived at my door the very next day with a cute little note. Bebe has been around forever. We are all familiar with what they have to offer. I received these items two months ago when their petite line first launched. I know people say not to wear white after Labor Day, but the purpose of this review is to (hopefully) give you guys some useful information regarding the petites fit vs. the standard fit. Below are the items they sent me.  At the time, these were the smallest sizes they carried.

What I am wearing:
Jacket: Bebe Petite Hooded City Suit Jacket in 00R (buy it here)
Cami: Lace Trim Seamless Cami in SP (buy it here)
Trouser: Bebe Petite Wide Leg in 2P - Waist taken in (buy it here)
Shoes: Guess peep toes pumps (buy similar here or here)
Necklace: Lia Sophia (buy it here)
Hair Extension: 22" Straight Hair Extension by Jessica Simpson (buy it here)

Making a life plan

Few weeks ago, hubby asked me “Why don’t you put together a plan for us?” I was like “What?”. Being a project manager for a large pharmaceutical company, he never had less than 3 projects to manage at one time. Every single day, he is dealing with plans, timelines, budgets and things involved with planning. It’s very understandable that he wants me to put together a plan for us.

I’ve never been a long range planner. I deal with things as they come. It’s frustrating sometimes when things didn’t go as planned (well, because there was no plan!). Once in a while, I told myself “I wish I had a plan”. I quickly realize to be successful in life, I need to have a life plan. Without a plan, many of my dreams will only be dreams. Last year, I got a kick out of myself when hubby represented me with his honey-do list. I’ve asked him to do several small projects for the house but never put them on paper. 9 out of 10, I forgot about them few weeks later and things never get done. He decided to make a honey-do list for himself. He checks them off as he gets them done. One by one, he went through a whole list in no time. The honey-do list is just an example of how helpful to have a plan in life. It serves two purposes: 1. Things get done the way we planned and 2. When the list is completed, it gives him a sense of achievement.

I sat down and started asking myself all these questions. What do we want to achieve this year? What is our short/long-term plan? Where do we see ourselves in 5 years (or even 10 years)? What I have below is a master plan (very general) that gives me the big picture of what I want to do with my life.

 Short-term goals
Goals
Timelines
1. I am going to a training in the next couple of weeks to get myself certified. End of October (if I pass the test). This will help take my career to the next level
2. Have the house’s exterior painted before winterCompleted - Thanks to a friend for recommendation. We hired somebody who did such a great job
3. Remodel our master bathroom DIY project
4. Expand our familyIn the near future
5. Plan our dream vacation Planning in progress
6. Move into a bigger houseIn the near future

Long-term goals
My ultimate dream in life is to have a family’s business and I am still working towards that dream (and it's not involved online selling)..LOL :)

One good thing is that both of us are very happy with our career’s choices. As always, there are things such as acquiring new knowledge and learning new skills to improve our careers. There are lots of small steps we need to take in order to reach our goals. (i.e.: in order to move into a bigger house, we need to put X amount of money in savings and in order to put X amount of money in savings, we need to do Y actions). More than likely, our life plan will change over time as our motivations and priorities will change. Regardless of having a life plan for not, it’s helpful to find your life purpose. Having a life purpose gives you meaning in everything you do. It also makes your life fulfilling.
It would be nice if every life experience was a good experience but that’s not realistic. Everyone is unique and everyone has a different perspective on life. We learn through experience and we learn through bad experiences. I’d rather make mistakes and experiencing life than living a life without a purpose. Many people spend their lives waiting for something to happen. That’s not me. I’ll make things happen. In the end, no one is responsible for your life except yourself

Online Boutique: ShopRuche.com

Today I'd like to introduce to you guys an online store that I am in love with recently. It is called "Ruche". Ruche is solely an online boutique that carries modern clothing with a touch of vintage. I dress conservative for work. My closet consists of plenty of basic and solid colored pieces. Although, I can see my style has slowly changed since I started blogging. My goal is to implement vibrant colors in my outfits especially during summer. I have received this skirt as a gift from Ruche and I am loving it. This skirt is exactly what I am looking for to add a bit of color to my wardrobe.

Petite Fashion Challenge #2

**Last day to enter my giveaway, click here for more details. Thanks everyone who entered**
--------------
I had a blast joining other petite ladies in PFC #1. Petite Fashion Challenge #2 is hosted this time by Kelly @ AlterationsNeeded. I had no hesitation in joining everyone again. Personally, I think this challenge is a bit easier to accomplish than the first one :)

The challenge: In honor of the fast approaching cool, fall weather, what better way to get ready than to find ways to make your wardrobe do double duty. Pick at least one item in your closet (not jeans, that's too easy!), and create two outfits, one for spring/summer, and one for fall/winter.

My item: A pair of shorts :) Obviously, shorts are for summer. One thing to keep in mind is that not all shorts would work. The key to success is to choose a winter fabric such as wool, herringbone or tweed. Those fabrics are winter appropriate and any of them would work. I found this herringbone pair of shorts at Express the other day and am in love with them. Size 00 fits me perfectly. I rarely found anything that would fit me off the rack at Express but this pair is an exception. It has shorter hemmed which makes my legs look longer

You can clearly see the 2 outfits below are definitely summer outfits. I love these shorts. They fit snugly around my waist, great length and pretty lace panels on the sides

Outfit details:
Shorts: Express Herringbone in 00 (get them here)
Tops: Both are from Macy's  - very old (similar here and here )
This top is very similar to the one on the right & still available in XXSP
Sandals: Steve Madden (buy similar style here)

To make this outfit wearable during cold months, I paired them with:

- A basic blazer (any blazer would work as long as the color coordinated). The blazer I am wearing was a gift from my friend oversea. Since the shorts already had some kind of patterns, I’d have to pair them with a solid blazer. In general, I would love to have this tweed blazer or this wool blazer (still available in 00P)
- A pair of booties. I got those booties the other day at Target and I really like them. They are not the most comfy boots but for the price, I am not complaint! Very cute details on the sides
- Black tights to keep my legs warm. I also got these tights from Target. They're Hanes. These tights are thick and sturdy enough to my liking
- Some jewelry to lighten up the outfit (any statement necklace would work). I picked that necklace because it standouts and adds an interesting touch to the outfit but still blended in. Mine was on clearance but Express has some similar styles in stores. I would stay away from black necklace

The outcome: Here is my final look! What do you guys think? I would not wear this outfit when it's snowing outside - I am not a big fan of cold weather. Winter in Ohio can be brutal. I definitely am seeing myself wearing this outfits many times during Fall

**Update**: Just in case you're wondering (Twitter friends have already knew about this), I am hosting PFC #3 in October. Mark your calendar and join me for a fun challenge. More details will be posted in the near future.
xoxo,
